Rating: Summary: First Exposure to Dale Brown ***** stars Review: I picked up The Tin Man for an airport ride across country, little did I expect that I'd sit in my hotel room, take a day off, stroll in a park and read, read, read. The Tin Man was most excellent! The adventure with the add touch of brother pitted against evil, -- What can I say? This author's stye of writing, competence, etc..I'm off to buy ALL his other books..expecially the best ones...appreciate anyone telling me what the "jewels in the crown are"..For me Dale Brown is "my newly discovered author of the 90's". Thanks for making an older guys reading fun! - D Vaupel
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: The difficulty in starting with a top first effort is that following efforts have much to live up to. Unfortunately 'Tin Man' doesn't.Although many of the same characters appear, introduction of new characters gives them a limited dimension in Tin Man. The limited dimension limited the enjoyment and buy in for me. I'd looked forward to this, I less sure about the next. This tin man should have stayed in Oz.
Rating: Summary: Lacked Credibilty. A real disappointment . Review: Seems to really have stretched to weave together a series of plots, none of which held anyreal credibility. So far out that Science Fiction should be the category under which it's listed. Please save your money. It's really not worth it. It would appear that the readers who've submitted ratings didn't realize that the "default" is 5 stars, not one star.
Rating: Summary: not as good as others Review: Brown is my favorite author and even though this was a good book, I hope he returns to the military books starting with " BATTLE BORN".
Rating: Summary: awful... plain awful. Wish there was a minus Star rating Review: Plot doesn't hang together. Characters are one-dimensional at best. Dialogue is unrealistic. I've found Brown to be somewhat entertaining before and was really disappointed. I finally quit trying to read it and just tossed it away. Didn't even have the heart to donate it to a charitable cause.
Rating: Summary: Non-realistic and shallow Review: I was disappointed with this book. Did no one else seem to notice that the execution of the drug gangs has NO connection to the terrorists final mission? This book was thrown together, with little attention to content.
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Books I Have Ever Read! Review: I have now read three books by Dale Brown, and have concluded that he is the best fiction author in the world! His great attention to detail in his novels is why I like him so much! Tin Man is the perfect combination of action and suspense. He talks like he knows exactly what he is talking about. With all of the details you can easily paint a picture of the scences in your head. All we need now is one of his novels to be made into a movie.
Rating: Summary: Crossing a thriller with a science fiction angle Review: Dale Brown is moving the boundary of the techno-thriller forward which is what other writers in the genre should do rather than redo the same old tired stuff. Well done. Also recommend Bob Mayer's SYNBAT; THE TRUTH MACHINE; and R. Doherty's AREA 51 series.
Rating: Summary: Overall, great!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This book was exciting, well written, and had an great plot! The end ended up a lot different than i thought it would be, and started to seem a little like a TV show, which was kinda dissappointing, but still great. This is one of, if not the, best books I have ever read!
Rating: Summary: This is a 5 star book. It was awsome. One of the best. Review: I found this book exciting, well written, in very good taste and very enjoyable. Can not wait to share it with family and friends.
