Summary: Laymon
Review: Pretty typical Laymon, and like Laymons other stuff, its Good! Its quick paced, bloody amd loads of fun. I found this book real suspenseful.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Sherry is in for a Rough Night
Review: The Santa Ana winds are blowing, it's a hot night. Duane and Sherry are going to do it for the first time, but Duane's condom disintegrates. Duane jumps into his clothes, goes for another and doesn't come back. After a bit Sherry goes to the 24 hour Speed-D-Mart looking for him. No Duane there, but she runs into one of her students (Sherry's a school teacher), who says he'll help her look for him. Stupid Sherry gets in his car and that is the beginning of the worst night of her life.

This book is violent, bloody, has everything from rape, gang rape and torture in it. But Laymon is a wordsmith, draws great, but quirky character and his fans will be delighted with this one.

Summary: Less than Thrilling
Review: This is one of the dumbest books I've ever read, and I've read a lot of stinkers. The plot is nonsensical. Just as one example, the main character refuses to call the police for no apparent reason, even while being pursued by a psycho killer. The characters are ridiculous: they're all gun-toting Rush Limbaugh fans (even the rich suburban teenagers have loaded guns in their houses)with no depth whatsoever. Add in some slapstick violence, gratuitous teenage sex (and why does the main character spend most of the book half-naked?), and I wish I could have given this book no stars instead of one.
