Review: While I was engrossed with the book during the first 2/3rds, the last 1/3rd left me feeling let down. There's plenty of "oomph" behind the storyline but the ending was a sad disappointment.

Review: I really got to say that this book was completely not what I thought it was going to be. The subtitle being "A novel of obsession" was obviously correct. Adam's obsession was of course with Alice and her body and her love for him. But what I didn't excpect was her obsession of Adam's past. I could go on and on, but I suggest you give it a try and read it!

Review: This book was excellent. I usually can not stand to read those sappy romance novels but this was anything but one. The first page had me hooked! From that point on I could not put the book down. This book makes you examine yourself as to where you are in life. I was constantly questioning if I could ever end up in a situation like the character. It was shocking, intruiging, page turning! Nicci French is a marvelous writer!

Review: Exciting, erotic thriller about a London businesswoman and a sexy mountain climber with a mysterious past. This is a can't-stop-reading thriller that builds to a heart-pounding climax. French is a master of suspense; her prose allows the reader to see the story unfolding in their mind's eye. This book would make an excellent screenplay! Equally good is French's thriller, "Beneath the Skin".

Review: This book was soooooo intriguing. Adam would be any womans dream, good looking, smart, a hero!!! He adds excitement to Alice's plain old life. But the mysterious side to Adam begins to go too far and Alice realizes that she may have not thought these MAJOR life changes through well enough. Now she must figure out what the heck she's gonna do now??!!
