Review: As a reporter for the Japan Times in Tokyo (where Mara Purl grew up), I've followed Mara's career for a long time, and have lately mentioned her novels in my column. My only question is...do I have to wait 10 more books to find out what happened to Chris???

Review: Both of the first two in Mara Purl's series of "Milford-Haven" novels were excellent. "What The Heart Knows" and "Closer Than You Think" were most enjoyable and entertaining. Once I got into them, I couldn't put them down!

Summary: Pure enjoyment of a good story
Review: I have so much fun reading Mara Purl's books! I just finished Closer Than You Think, after not having been able to put down What the Heart Knows last weekend. I couldn't have chosen better books for the pure enjoyment of reading a good story. I'm so glad I read them! Now, please tell the author to get the next Ten in her series written!

Review: Mara Purl's "Closer Than You Think" was most enjoyable! As a Vietnam veteran, I was particularily interested in the Tony character. And the Doobie Brothers concert scenes were masterful! I was certainly left wondering what is to happen to all these people. Since there will be 10 more books I suppose that a LOT happens to them!

Review: Mara Purl's "Milford-Haven" novels are fun to read, and they're more than fun. There's an underlying quality to them, because she's dealing with important issues - so I look forward to reading them on both levels.

Review: Mara Purl's "What The Heart Knows" (Book One)annoyed me with how it left me hanging at the end - but all is forgiven because "Closer Than You Think" (Book Two) was so exciting and deep. Now I'm waiting for Book Three!
