Rating: Summary: Quick, Exciting, Smooth, and Too Believable Review: Quick and exciting. Flows so smoothly you're suddenly, and sadly, at the end of this great read. The action is vivid and believable. The characters, as hard and merciless as only a combat veteran can make them, are still sympathetic. This fast paced account of special operations comrade-in-arms takes you on a thrill ride not to be soon forgotten. I hope Muldoon has more in his bandalier. I can't wait to read them.
Rating: Summary: Adventure and excitement all the way through! Review: This is one of those book I just couldn't put down. Muldoon's knowledge of military procedure and politics, along with exciting characters makes for great reading. I found myself wondering if this purported fictional novel may not have been based on something that did occur. I certainly look forward to a sequel and a movie.
Rating: Summary: Enjoy Clancy? Try this! Review: If your a Clancy fan then you will be a Muldoon fan. His attention to detail and knowledge of the military are unparalleled. The basic ingredient in this story is how a handful of men took their oaths of honor and integrity to their country and each other to the ultimate. Tom Muldoon's Execution of Honor is a execution of great reading stuff. Could not put this one down. When is the next one coming????
Rating: Summary: Better than Clancy Review: I seldom read fiction. A friend recommended this book, and I saw it in an airport. I started it on a one hour flight. When I finished the flight, I picked up my bags, but found a seat and finished the book in another hour, then drove home. Is this the only book he has written?
Rating: Summary: A thrilling read Review: An Execution of Honor--A real thriller, July 22, 2002 An Execution of Honor is a thrilling, action-filled page- turner of international intrigue portraying the undying, life-sacrificing loyalty of a team of Force Recon Marines even after their service days are over. Author Tom Muldoon provides a gripping read from start to finish. I eagerly await a sequel.
Rating: Summary: A must read for those who enjoy military thrillers Review: As a current US Marine, I found this book most entertaining. Realistic characters that are well developed throughout the book. Basic premise believable with some interesting twists along the way. I liked the idea that not all of the military characters came across as 'good guys', some spice and intrigue added to them all. A welcome departure from the terrorist themes so often seen today. Some fun added with the futuristic weapons. I hope there's a sequel!
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable book¿exciting from beginning to end Review: As a prior Active Duty Marine (Semper Fi), this book really hit home. It restored my faith in knowing That against all odds, all the men still relied on each other and their training to get through the worst Of times. Mr. Thomas Muldoon, writes an excellent depiction of life on the move as a fugitive and as a men who are concerned about the safety and well being of others. This non-stop action pack book will make you want to see it on the big screen. Mr. Thomas Muldoon gets a HUGE ooohraaaa!!!! for this classic tail of honor and brotherhood. Can't wait for Book II
Rating: Summary: Muldoon's Action Thriller Review: Muldoon packs action into every page. His characters come alive as you are swept into the story. His knowledge of how men act under stress must come from personal experiece. I couldn't help but remember my own experiences with units in Vietnam and Europe. Muldoon's style puts you right into the action and forces you to make strategic decisions at a pace that is consistant with the execution of a combat mission.
Rating: Summary: Muldoon's a master storyteller Review: Who is Tom Muldoon and why is he able to write a book I could barely put down? He seems to know more secret warfare tricks than a Delta Force warrior. Is the plot far-fetched? Not at all. I read An Execution of Honor just as U.S. troops were using similar techniques against the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. It's almost as if Muldoon has secret sources burrowed into the Pentagon who gave him all the info on latest combat tricks. I wouldn't want to meet this guy in a dark alley, that's for sure. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to read many more books by him. Keep them coming. And let's see An Execution of Honor on the silver screen too.
Rating: Summary: Hard to put down Review: As a Clancy fan for years, I was very pleased to read a novel by another author that rivals the Clancy trend. Tom Muldoon produced a great thriller using all of the tools needed to keep a readers attention. It was obvious that Tom knows his subject, researched the facts around the Force Recon Marine unit and put that knowledge into a story that was fiction bordering on fact. I hope Tom will continue to produce similar military novels of the same vein. Great job!!!
