Rating: Summary: Second Read Even Better Review: The first time I read this book, I thought it was terrific. I have kept an eye on this site ever since waiting for a sequel, or at least another book by this author. Since I haven't seen any notification of either coming, I decided to reread this book. And I was even more thrilled by the second read. I demand a sequel!
Rating: Summary: Lost all track of time Review: I opened this book when I stepped on the airplane to Hawaii. The next thing I knew we were landing in Honolulu. I was so absorbed in the story, I lost all track of time. Great characters and a terrific plot. A don't miss novel.
Rating: Summary: Gripping Thriller Review: This book grabbed me from the start, and never let up until the final page. It had everything a thriller should have---suspense, action, unexpected twists and turns of plot. It shocked me when some of the former Marines died---didn't expect it at all---and had me hoping that the rest would survive against the overwhelming force trying to hunt them down. Betrayed by the government they trusted as U.S. Marines, forced to take action against a murderer their country protected, and then hunted by that country as well as the Cubans, Russians, and assorted minions of the Cubans. It was one riveting tale!
Rating: Summary: Let's home Muldoon writes another one! Review: Loved this book. My husband and I both enjoyed it. Fast paced, interesting characters, great story... I'd not tried a "military" story before and was hesitant thinking it would be too techie; but it sure wasn't. Till I find another by this author, I'll check out other readers recommendations - as I always do - it really helps to read what others think.
Rating: Summary: Reviewers were right! A MUST READ. Review: My husband and I both loved this book. It had wonderful action, characters you care about and a wonderful moral. And, what a wonderful change of pace. We read LOTS of mysteries and suspense books and are frankly getting a little tired of serial killers - even well written ones. So we are thrilled to find Thomas Muldoon. Please give us sequels!!!
Rating: Summary: Reviewers hit nail on head Review: Before buying this book, I read all the reviews --and for some reason at the time I first looked at this book site there were at least 20 more reviews than currently are posted--and those reviews convinced me to buy this book. I was not let down. It was a great read. Terrific action, terrific characters, and many plot twists. The ending was masterful
Rating: Summary: Awaiting a sequel Review: This book is a real page turner. It takes the reader from central America to norhtern Florida to Africa to Cuba to Europe and ultimately to California. And it never lets the reader down. It is a fast paced thriller which had me enthralled. I love the characters ----and I want more of them. Bring on a sequel!
Rating: Summary: Riveting story Review: This is a story that kept me glued to my book. It is riveting and action filled. Every time I thought I had figured out the plot, it turned in a new direction. I won't ruin the ending for any other reader, but let me say that I had come to the conclusion it had to end in a manner which would bother me. It didn't.
Rating: Summary: AN example of honor Review: This book is about a soldier's honor and trust required between the order makers and the order takers. Force Recon Marines are not as highly touted as the Army's Delta Force or the Navy SEALS, but they are just as highly trained and motivated. One of the cohesive elements in elite small units is the utter belief that each member of the team will look out for the others. When two team members are brutally murdered in a fictional Central American jungle (Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras - take your pick), the surviving team members first protest the action through normal channels and when that fails they take the issue of honor into their own hands. This is at first looks like a rogue operation that violates the chain of command; rather it is a soldier's honor demanding justice (and just is rendered). The story takes a number of twists and turns as the team is hunted by the Cuban DGI, remnants of the KGB, the FBI and elements of the SOCOM. You might not find this kind of justice listed in the US Code or the Uniform Code of Military Justice. But find a combat zone, and everything makes perfect sense.
Rating: Summary: Exceptional Read Review: From start to finish, an exceptionally good read. Well-paced, interesting and captivating story. Totally enjoyable.
