Review: This new novel by Ruth Rendell is more entertaining than most of her works. I think she must have enjoyed writing it, and I definitely enjoyed reading it. It is written at the exceptional level her readers expect, but departs somewhat from her very focused analyses to give a wider potpourri of very interesting characters and London settings.
