Summary: If the Addisons put on a show, the Vatican's gonna blow!
Review: An explosive book to say the least.Plenty of characters and plot twists. Not as believable a plot as 'The Day After Tomorrow' but no less fun to read. This story was an absolute page turner thanks to Folsom's brilliant fast paced writing style. An interesting exploration into the Vatican walls. The thrills and stunts are a dime a dozen and you'll catch yourself looking over your shoulder for the infamous international killer Thomas Kind. Harry, Elena, and Danny drive the story but Roscani gets the Oscar for best supporting character. A thrillride of a book.

Summary: any organization with diplomatic immunity is fair game
Review: Ok so this was no "Day after Tomorrow" but still I am a Folsom fan and I forgive him for this longwinded tale..No one really knows what goes on behind the walls of the Vatican and hey .It could happen..these people are after all human...Absolute power corrupts absolutely..

Summary: An Adventure!
Review: I enjoyed this book thoroughly. I wish he would write more novels. This book was an interesting look into the Vatican. Made me want to go back to Mass! Pure fiction at its finest.

Summary: Day of Confusion
Review: Shame, shame Mr. Folsom. What a huge disappointment. No wonder it took you so long to release a second novel. Whereas THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW was inventive and exciting, DAY OF CONFESSION contains a preposterous storyline and is way overwritten. Why must every chapter end with such a flared sense of drama: 'The smiling, ruddy-cheeked, whitehaired giant who walked through Eden's dappled sunlight with the Holy Father ravished in his spell was darkness itself, a whole and complete incarnation of evil.' So, the guy was bad news, right? And what the hell is 'dappled sunlight'? Also, I wonder if anyone else will notice that each chapter averages about three pages. Whatever happened to plot development? Dare I even mention Mr. Folsom's handful of insensitivities spattered throughout the story? Does anyone in this day and age refer to Asians as 'Orientals'? And to have his dwarf character, misguidingly and condescendingly named Hercules, continually refer to Harry as Mr. Harry is downright patronizing.

All in all, this novel was a pretty miserable mess. One, which, I must -- ahem -- confess, I read in its entirety. Kinda, I suppose, like someone who can't turn his or eyes away from a train wreck. At least, I hope that's what it was.

Summary: Exciting and Riveting
Review: Despite its somewhat ungainly length and slow patches during an overlong chase and escape scenario, "Day of Confession" is intriguing throughout and contains two or three stretches that will definitely keep you up late at night, unable to put the book down.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Good writing spoiled by an implausible premise.
Review: I finished this book because of the strong characters and plotting, but the goal of the bad guys (inside the Vatican, no less) is so silly that is makes this effort tiresome. Toward the end it reads like a script for what is ludicrously called a "high concept" Hollywood movie.

Summary: Tired of beating up Republicans? Let's switch to Catholics
Review: This is a sad, sad follow up to Folsom's first terrific book. In this book, Catholics are open season: We've got several Cardinals at the right hand of the Pope who are poisoning water in China to help their own investment portfolio; an ex-marine priest who breaks his vow of secrecy; a nun who decides she likes sex better than her vow of poverty, and on and on. Even if you can get past all the above, the plot is weak and the story telling (with about a ga-billion 2-page chapters) is lame. Save your money

Summary: Excellent read, entertaining!
Review: This book was quite enjoyable. Plot was compelling and thought-provoking. It takes a while for Folsom to sink his hooks, but once he does, the book is hard to put down or to forget. I enjoy the realistic nature of the book with just enough high-tech info to keep the book interesting. I recommend this book for readers that enjoy fast-paced action thrillers. I will admit that this book does not match Folsom's first book "Day After Tomorrow". I rank that book in my top two favorites of fiction that I have read over the years.

Summary: comme ci comme ca
Review: The only reason I could keep reading this book was because of its fast pace. Not a patch on Folsoms earlier book "Day After Tommorrow" infact a downright dissappiontment compared to his earlier work. The only redeeming factor for this book is that conducive to Folsoms style of writing it is a racy read and doesnt give you time to think. For that and that reason alone I look forward to his next book.

Summary: Writing style and syntax are juvenile. Story is same.
Review: I hated myself for finishing this book, but it was so bad I coould not stop. The plot started well, and by the time two or three items began destroying my abiity to suspend disbelief, I was hooked on seeing how bad a book published in hard cover by a major publisher could get. In addition the syntax iis unbeleiivably tangled; Little,Brown should be embarrassed about the editing
