Summary: Not as bad as the other one I read, but needs originality
Review: After I finished this book, I realized that I'd read and reviewed another of this author's book, "The Shadow Box". After criticizing it the author emailed me a letter ( you can read it under the reviews of "The Shadow Box" ) in which he insults me personally for not liking his work then proceeds to state that he will "delete any response unread". It seems that he cannot even defend and/or try to understand any point of view other than his own. Someone this defensive must not be very proud of their own work. So beware, write a good review or you'll receive hate-mail.

Summary: Great Book, something out of the ordinary!
Review: Great retired spy thriller, lots of action, made me cry at the end. Lots of interesting twists that were totally unanticipated. If you like Clive Cussler and Nelson Demille you'll love this. I'm writing this book while I'm ordering his other book, and looking forward to the next one comming out!

Summary: A really good read
Review: Haven is a bit of romance, lots of suspense, travel, muslem culture, thugs, yachts and characters that could live next door except they have secrets. Maxim created great characters. His women and men are equally able to hold their own for good or bad. It was a great escape and kept me gripped till the end. Each Maxim book is a treat and I hope Elizabeth and Martin and any of the others come back.

Summary: A Slightly Incredible Plot
Review: HAVEN is a story about the increasing vulnerability of any country to the crazed actions of a few fanatics. The author does a commendable job of wrapping up too many loose ends of a slightly incredible plot.

Summary: Needs your full attention
Review: I found it difficult to keep track of who was doing/saying what. There would be 5 lines of dialogue but I couldn't tell who was saying what. In the beginning, a lot of characters are introduced and it was hard to keep them all straight. I enjoyed the action scenes but in general you really had to pay close attention and re-read sections to fully understand.

Summary: Haven
Review: I found this book a quick overnight read. I was glued to the book and unable to put it down. Excellent characters and non-stop action. I hope to see Kessler and Stride again real soon.

Summary: Havoc on Hilton Head Island
Review: I just finished 'Haven'.....would somebody PLEASE tell me why Aisha's uncle was so obsessed about finding her?.......was it to ensure that he would control the fortune she would inherit after the death of both parents? The book seemed to point to the fact that she had something to do with a deal he was cooking up with who? The Libyans.....the Egyptians? It was confusing because it kept alluding to the notion that perhaps this had something to do with the warheads, radiation, biological warfare etc. I don't consider myself stupid but while I was reading this book took allot to stay focused because it seemed to keep wandering......and wandering.....and now I suppose we will see Kessler again because he managed inspite of a gut wound and exposure to radiation to get away.......hmmmmmmmmmm

Summary: Excellent
Review: I listen to a great deal of books on tape. This has to rank as one of the best. The author has put together a great plot and really gets you to feel for the main two characters. Martin Kessler is one of the most likeable characters I have come across. The narrater of this audio book is one of the best story tellers I have heard. I couldn't turn off my tape player!

Summary: Haven
Review: I loved the book. The suspense was kept at a very high level. I like that even in the end Martin was still "the fox". Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys suspense.
