Summary: Good reading / accurate descriptions
Review: Sue Henry's writing is right on mark with descriptions of Alaska, life on the last frontier, and a solid mystery. As an Alaskan, I enjoy the place setting and appreciate Henry's eye for detail. I read the book rather breathlessly - not wanting anything terrible to happen to the lovable character Jessie Arnold and favorite lead dog, Tank. Additionally, the side-story of Jessie and Alaska State Trooper Alex Jenson's love-affair, is intriguing and beleivable.

Review: This book had so many wonderful details! Unlike many other books it went right to the plot. Once it got to the great chase of Jessie & her stalker, I was shivering in my covers with suspence.This is on my top favorite books list, It was SOOOOOOOOO good!!!!!!!

Review: This is my first book that I have read of Sue Henry's. The writing is good, plotting is superb. I will continue to read her books. This book is the first one in a long time that actually got me invovled with the characters. Although this book is not perfect, the writing and story is good enough to always keep you turning the page.

Summary: Very well written suspense novel set in Alaska
Review: This is the second book I have read by Sue Henry, the first being "Murder on the Iditarod Trail." The thing I loved about this book was, as another reviewer has mentioned, getting the inside look at how Jessie Arnold lives the 'simple life' in her two-room log cabin in Alaska. It is a fascinating life that heroine Jessie Arnold lives, whose fictitious lifestyle I envy. As with Henry's other work, the word images are descriptively vivid and make you feel like you are in Alaska. The novel starts out with describing Jessie's life in her cabin, running her dog kennels, and then moves to a remote island off Alaska where she is stalked by a killer during a storm. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and will definitely reread it again. However, I have to take one star away due to Henry's use of unnecessary profanity throughout the novel, which really detracts from the beauty of it. Ms. Henry (and other readers) may feel that she is only adding 'reality' to the 'evil' characters by adding vulgar profanity into many sentences they utter; however, this only serves to detract from the beauty of the work. This novel would make a great TV movie as did her first novel; where is Hollywood?

Review: This was my first book by Sue Henry and I loved it! When I read the description, I feared that the plot would be predictable, and it was a bit; however, Ms. Henry's writing kept me engaged.
