Rating: Summary: I would classify this as a ..... Review: a good read. Not one that you can't put down, but the questions it address are relevant to every person: your view on the ressurection, and Jesus. The surrounding story is OK, but the beggining stoty thread has been done to death in Movies and other books. I have brought all of the other books in this series, and they are woth a read.
Rating: Summary: A PHENOMENAL READ!!!! Review: As a true John Grisham / James Scott Bell fan, I was hesitant in purchasing this book. I did not think it would be able to compare with my favorite authors. I must say, this book not only rivaled, but exceeded other novels from those authors. I could not put it down! I am beginning CUSTODY OF THE STATE now and I plan to take my time so that I may savour every page! Stop what you are doing and BUY this book now, right now!

Rating: Summary: The best novel I've read in 20 years! Review: Craig Parshall has given me a reason to read novels again! What a wonderful book, filled with mystery, suspense, laughter, pain, lies and truth. If you think this is going to be another typical fluffy "Christian" book, then think again. Parshall writes an extremely intelligent piece, that will literally keep you on the edge of your seat. The main character, Will Chambers, will grab your heart and champion your soul. If you struggle with truth and who Jesus is, then you will feel very comfortable with Will. The best part about this character, who just happens to be a lawyer, is that you just may feel the need to trust attorneys again! Will is an honest, ethical and open minded man and is interested in the facts. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Other characters in the novel, Reverend MacCameron, his daughter, wife and Tiny, Chambers best friend, will keep you humored, concerned and reading the book. One thing I should say is that this book is not your typical apologetic on the Christian faith. Really, I found it more of an apologetic on worldview. The Parshalls have written two other books on that very subject. Tough Faith, and The Light in the City. While both of those books are good, The Resurrection File is GREAT! Parshall weaves current events, including the recent attack on New York, terrorism, the battle between Islam and Christianity and government secrets into the plot. If you are into politics, religion, truth, justice and the American way then this book is for you. Give it away as a gift and read it yourself. You will not be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: Please write more like this one~! Review: Finally~! a book with Christian principals that acknowledges Christian readers are interested in going "deep" I am thrilled to find a new author who thrills me to the point I can't stop reading. I look for books that when I am through I am both challanged in my thinking and also come away feeling I have learned much. This book delivers~! It is definately on my Christmas list for several of my friends. Thank you for putting the thrill back in reading a 'novel'.

Rating: Summary: Very Disappointed Review: First - let me say that I am a Christian (Baptist). With that said, I must say I truly found this book almost unreadable. The characters are way to "hodge podge" for my tastes. The Rev. MacCameron comes across as an eccentric NOT an educated man of God. The story line is so interwoven into "other" areas that it's hard to keep up with everything going on - I keep waiting for something to develop - I am on page 227 - out of 392 and doubt if I'll continue. I am MOST disappointed in this story. However, I should know better than to choose anything that compares the author to John Grisham. I find Grisham's books leave a lot to be desired in that he DRAGS a story along to the last few pages and then "wraps" everything up - again leaving a lot to be desired. So, to my fellow readers IF you don't LIKE Grisham - you won't like The Ressurection File. Too bad too because I think the basic story premise is worth developing - only Mr. Parshall hasn't done that - at least to the point I'm at - leaving me with no desire to read further.
Rating: Summary: A great story!! Review: I bought this book after listening to a radio program featuring the author. It's a really great story! I think Mr. Parshall is equal to Grishom when it comes to courtroom drama - I very much enjoyed this book, and intend to buy his next book, 'Custody of the State' the moment it hits the racks!

Rating: Summary: The best novel I've read in 20 years! Review: The Resurrection File is one of the most outstanding pieces of modern Christian writing in a very long time. It is intelligent and thought provoking and worthy of the time it takes to read the almost 400 pages in this book. Craig Parshall has masterfully written about the spiritual journey of attorney Will Chambers, without fluffing it up and making it sappy. He has cleverly depicted the power of prayer and the influence of Christians without shoving it down your throat. He has also depicted a stereotype in the minister - he pulls no punches when it comes to depicting a Christian character as a sort of 'nut', but yet he does it with respect. One of my favorite things about the book is how attorney Parshall integrates information about the law - without talking over your head, you will notice the strategy lawyers use when preparing the case. For that reason alone, the book is a must read - because you might just find yourself loving lawyers again! But the story in the book is so compelling and true to life that if you are aware of our culture, the liberal media and how those who are against Christ try to twist and turn those who are in Christ, then you will appreciate the wisdom that Parshall has used in this book. He integrates terrorism, science, Israel, the battle between Islam and Christianity and a lot of heart in the book. Other characters in the story include Tiny, Chambers friend, the Reverend's daughter and mother and a few helping hands along the way - and of course his dog. I can tell you this, the ending is not what you will be expecting and I can say the butler did not do it! Get the book today and finish it. If you're anything like me, it will make you laugh, cry and think all the way through.
