Summary: My First Staub
Review: This was my first Staub book, and I am now hooked! I've said in other reviews of her books that she has a tendancy to go on and on about the plight of the main character, but her ability to twist the ending into something the reader didn't see coming is very well done.

I'll continue to read her work, and recommend as reading!

Summary: Good but drawn out
Review: This was my second book by this author and it seemed a bit more wordy than needed to be but overall the story and suspense were excellent. Had me guessing until the very end.

Summary: yeah, right
Review: To go along with the premise of this book, you would have to believe that a mother of small children would willingly commit suicide leaving her children in the hands of a psychopath who has just threatened her child's life. (This isn't a spoiler, this is the opening chapter). I'm sorry, but I can't believe anyone is dumb enough to commit suicide and leave her child(ren) motherless on the guarantee of a psychopath that her child will be spared. Really easy to figure out who the psychopath is, too, even though you never really learn why. Miss this one.

Summary: Another Good Read
Review: Very suspenseful and well-written...it kept me up all night because I just had to finish it.

However, unlike the author's other books, I thought it was very easy to figure out, and it left me disappointed that I had been right about the identity of the murderer all along. There were quite a number of ways she could've gone to really surprise me, and I felt a bit cheated that she took the one I thought was the most obvious. It also seemed as if the conclusion was rushed compared to the rest of the book.

Still a great read, and I highly recommend this author.
