Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: This is drivel! Review: How does this guy get published
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Surreal Genius Review: This book is beyond cool! The surreal and fuzzy details must be taken from Victor's (the novel's main character) perspective, and let's remember that he is not very bright, most likely a bit delusional. If you concentrate, you can imagine what Bret Easton Ellis is trying to create, but if you read it expecting all the answers to come to you, you will be disappointed. Read only if you're willing to put in some effort.... and if you like confetti!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: a very excellent book Review: Bret easton ellis' work is not your usual book where evrything is given to you when the end comes. It's puzzling... That's why some people don't like it : because they are used to reading hollywood kind of literature where nothing disturbs anymore, where you don't have to ask yourself any questions... That BEE can bring back a literature for intelligent people is very good he should keep writing books.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: I am exhausted Review: It is a sad day in the world of American novelists when the design work on the book's cover is more unique than the content. How does this guy still get published?
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: only if you like Ellis Review: Vapid prose, useless dialogue, faulty plot, hanging conclusion, what else? I am not a fan of Ellis', but attempted to read this book to see what he might come up with this time around. Disappointing at best - come to think of it, I am changing my rating to 1 star. Middle section is decent. Only worth reading if you have too much time on your hands.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Nobody Does it Better Review: With his deep and searing explorations of the humanity's various dark sides (especially in the brilliant "American Pyscho"), I always sort of considered Ellis to be the new William Burroughs (a comparison which the copious amount of drug usage in Ellis's books made quite easy). But after reading "Glamorama," especially the hilarious opening scenes, I'm beginning to think that Ellis has the potential to become the new Tom Wolfe. Never before has Ellis handled his material with more wit, mastery or grace. And he even has a plot! Yes, some of this book is confusing, and the blood and sex content is pretty high. Ellis's work is certainly not for everyone, but for anyone who's looking to push their boundaries just a tad, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU. And don't listen to all these hip wimps decrying this book or the author; Ellis is an American original and we're lucky to have to him. So buy it why don't ya?
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Glamorama is a complete waste of time and paper. Review: If you insist on reading this garbage, do as I did and borrow it from the library - that way, you won't feel guilty about wasting your money after quitting halfway through!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Simply outstanding Review: Read it
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Wasn't he once a brilliant author? Review: I have been an avid fan of Ellis Since I read Less than Zero. However, I found Glamorama to be poorly written coming from a man who is usually ahead of the rest. It was confusing and incredibly irritating. Who cared about Victor Ward? Not me. Not by far.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: talent wasted Review: Is it that mr. Ellis needs to write a book to become an established writer? He has the credit and now underestimates his audience. It is a talent to use your talent mr. Ellis. If you don't like hard work, find another job. Now we have to struggle through it. It's a two starr for the strong beginning and the respect to get all these words on paper. I could not read it to the end though...
