Rating: Summary: Heart Pounding story line Review: This is a great book for fiction/horror readers. It's a thrill to see the plot actually reach its peak as you least expect it. The story line had me asking for more and the ending left me with a void that made me purchase another one of her books. This books grasps you when you least expect it! It's worth giving it a try.
Rating: Summary: One of Mary Higgins Clark's Best Novels Review: You Belong to Me was the second Mary Higgins Clark book I had read and I enjoyed it alot! I love to read mystery/suspense books, and this was definently a suspenseful book. All though the killer was way too predictable, I still liked it. I would definently recommened this book!
Rating: Summary: Not as good as other MHC books Review: This book wasn't bad but not terribly exciting. I've just started reading MHC books, and I was a little disappointed with this one. I wasn't particularly crazy about any of these characters, and the story was rather boring at times. One good thing I will say about it is I did not know who the killer was until the end.
Rating: Summary: You Belong to Me: A fast and very entertaining read Review: Mary Higgins Clark has a talent. From the first page she has captured your interest and the book becomes an instant page-turner. Dr. Susan Chandler of New York City, through her radio show, becomes entangled in the web of a serial killer. Many characters are brought in to the novel including friends, family, investigators, and even some love interests of Susan. The entire mystery is unfolded through the eyes of all of these different people whichs makes for a very interesting read. The killer himself in Mary Higgins Clark books are always one of the characters talked about. The suspense never ends in this novel as you try to put all the clues together. The plot was excellent but the writing style was what really shinned in this book. Every sentence was significant to unsolving the mystery. Clark was able to describe everything in enough detail to make it like a movie in your head while keeping it to the point. If your looking for fast paced, heart racing novel for pure enjoyment, You Belong to Me by Mary Higgins Clark is the way to go!
Rating: Summary: You Belong To Me Review: This is probably one of the worst books I have ever read. I truly enjoy reading mystery/thrillers, but found the author's need to hold my hand throughout the story annoying. The main charaters internal dialogues were patronizing at best. None of the characters were even remotely believable. Every character was so candy coated. The only reason I read the whole book was from a lack of better options. I realize now that my time would have been better spent reading the telephone book.
Rating: Summary: Unputdownable! Review: This is my first MHC book as I don't normally read thrillers but it was an ideal read to see me through a hot spell of summer weather when one couldn't do much else. I loved the way that the author grabs your attention, right from the word go,and keeps up a cracking pace.I must admit to gobbling up this book, scarcely able to put it down and even though I did guess right about the killers identity, she wove enough other clues through it to keep you on your toes and wonder if you'd guessed wrongly. I'll be looking out some more MHC books and would like to see a movie made of You Belong To Me,as I'm sure that it would make a great suspense film
Rating: Summary: Perdictable, yet Enjoyable Review: This was the first book I read by MHC. It is excellent airplane reading, though I was reading it on the plane before taking a cruise so I was somewhat paranoid that the nice man I talked to at the bar or during dinner wanted to kill me. Anyway, the book held my interest. I flipped through it quickly and was glad I had chosen to take a break from my usual reading (epic poetry, Balzac, Henry James, Ayn Rand, etc.) but this plot was much too easy to figure out. From the moment the killer's true self was introduced into the story, I knew it was him and never doubted it. Even though MHC's books might not be well written (I was astounded by the lack of descriptions) they do serve their purpose. It is a great escape from one's everyday life and it completely took my mind off my phobia of flying. As for reading her work on an everyday basis, I think I'd rather not.
Rating: Summary: Fun to read! Review: This book was fun to read! We know that our herione will triumph in the end, but how? and who done it? Keep 'em coming! I enjoy mysteries where the normally limp-wristed female turns the tables on the killer and catches him. hehehe
Rating: Summary: Intriguing, well executed & innovative plot! Review: In spite of my busy schedule, I couldn't put this one down until I found out who the villain was. I kept going back and forth. This is definitely one of her best. WOW! The book left me exhausted by the time I was through. Excellent dialog, descriptions and plot. I can't say enough good things about her writing style and the suspense in this novel. Not only that, "You Belong to Me" is one of my all time favorite songs which prompted me to buy the book.
Rating: Summary: It was easy to find out the murderer this time Review: I read many of MHC's books till today. I genarally find them fascinating and easy to read especially in our fast living environment.I liked this book as well but I must admit in this book the murderer was quite obvious (or I'm customised MHC'S style so far). So,readers suspect that something should be wrong with him and match him with the crime easily.I request MHC to write a more complex book next time.
