Summary: Not Bad...but he's done better
Review: ...another entertaining book from a good author but it lacks something. Certainly not on the same level as his earlier books; like Vortex and Red Phoenix. I will, however, read his next book when it comes out.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: A great book
Review: A great book it had everything.Terrorists Royalty Russia Merecenaries. It was a great book.I hope they make #2.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A very good read for the "terrorist/supense" fan
Review: A great improvement over his last but still not the type of great techno-war thriller as Cauldron or Vortex. Good suspense and more character definition than Enemy Within. Please Larry, one more like Red Storm Rising.

Summary: An Entertaining Read!
Review: A very good book about terrorism. It could be ranked on a scale along with "The Enemy Within". The villain in this book would bring up memories of Osama Bin Ladin. In this book the Saudi Prince uses his vast fortune to finance acts of terrorism against the United States. The book starts out with a bang with the crash of an American airliner that turns out to be sabotage. It is actually an attempt to cover up the theft of a nuclear weapon. The Prince has plans to detonate the weapon on Washington D.C.In the meantime the Prince is spreading acts of terrorism by the use of his wealth. During this spree he even manages to kill the U.S. ambassador. In the meantime Thorn and Gray are on the trail of the billionaire terrorist. At one point the U.S. government are even wanting to arrest Thorn and Gray. The book has a grand finale where the attempt to bomb Washington D.C. is stopped. Thorn and Gray capture the billionaire terrorist. The Prince is given justice by the Saudi method. This was a very good book.I certainly enjoyed reading it. You will not be dissapointed.

Summary: Entertaining time-filler in a big way!
Review: A well-paced actioner featuring the main characters from THE ENEMY WITHIN, Col Peter Thorn and the FBI's Helen Gray. This time a plane carrying UN weapons inspectors crashes in Russia, and investigations lead to the trail of blackmarket tactical nuclear warheads for sale . . . and what interest does a Saudi prince have in these weapons? The outcome may be predictable and the characters may seem like they have leapt out from a LETHAL WEAPON movie, but the strengths of this book are the story, the research behind the weapons themselves and how they could be transported into the US and a good, fast-pacing and simple prose. The action scenes are undeniably entertaining, and the bit that made me laugh was the bad guy's last word before being shot . . . Noooooooo! That is sooo Hollywood! In fact, why hasn't this(or any other of Larry Bond's novels, for that matter) been made into a movie yet?

Summary: An exciting book
Review: After reading bad reviews I was at first sceptical I was greatly mistaken. This was an action packed book. The troubles that our heros have from the start after the plane crash until the end of the book sets the tone. The billionaire Saudi prince that plays the villain conjurs up images of Osama Bin Laden. The acts of terrorism that the evel prince comes up with are very original. The evil forces attempt to nuke Washington D.C. will keep you on the edge of your seat. The ending is very

exciting as well with the prince recieving Saudi justice for his deeds. A very exciting book.

Summary: I'm sick of not sleeping every time I get a Bond book.
Review: Another page-turner. Thorn and Gray may be Bond's version of the bionic couple but he manages to rivet the reader through a predictable, but nonetheless exciting plot. The fact that this is not just a "war book" and does have significant character development is testimony to Bond's growth as a writer. The synopsis is a great capsule of the story so if you like the way it sounds, you'll love the way it reads. Just don't forget to go to work in the morning!

Summary: Larry Bonds worst
Review: As a fan of Larry Bonds' works I have to say I'm very dissappointed with "Day of Wrath". His other works "Vortex" and "Cauldron" are among my favorites of the genre but now that Mr. Bond has seen fit to dabble in the more unconventional aspects of warfare, his work has gone downhill. I believe that the chief villain known as the "paymaster" is based on an actual Saudi billionare living in the Sudan currently. This choice of villians would be interesting if the plot weren't so unoriginal. The "loose nuke" from the old Soviet Union is already highly over-done plot already used by authors of lesser quality. It's sad to see that he has reverted to using the same material. The "Paymaster's" final plan isn't even that original either, making "Day of Wrath" woefully predictable. Mr. Bond writes exellent conventional thrillers, he would be better off sticking to them.

Summary: A very good book which demonstrates Mr. Bond's versatility.
Review: As you may have noticed from the reviews you are reading, this book is not your usual Larry Bond book. I enjoyed how he had his characters track the mysterious shipment from Russia to the United States. His characters had emotion and you took interest in their plight. What may have been a little difficult to accept, is how these two solo individuals were able to perform beyond the abilities of most mere mortals. Having said that, I strongly recommend the book to all and give warning that you will not find a major battle sequence.

Summary: Present Day Threat
Review: Bond delivers a story that could be true to today's world. Prince Ibrahim of Saudi Arabia, a millionaire, is the guy behind the terrorism across the world, financially supporting various factions. He also owns a powerful corporation, known as Caraco, and is very influential with the current administration in the White House.

The story revolves around Thorn and Gray, the Army Colonel, and FBI agent who were featured in Bond's prior novel, Enemy Within.
A Russian cargo jet crashes in northern Russia with U.S. officials onboard. Gray and Thorn both meet at the scene, and that's when their lives get interesting. Trailing clues to why the plane crashed with the help of a Russian MVD officer, Thorn and Gray pursue Germans into parts of northern Russia, into Norway and Germany. They get into trouble with Russian locals when the MVD officer is killed in an ambush.

They have a hunch that, jet engines are being used to smuggle nuclear weapons to the U.S. Disobeying orders from their government, Thorn and Gray pursue the leads to the U.S. and get help from General Farrell. With the German and Arabic terrorists after them as well as their own government, Thorn and Gray must elude them and get to the heart of the problem, before Ibrahim can unleash 20 150 Megaton nuclear bombs on the U.S.
