Summary: Fabulous page-turner
Review: Excellent action novel--best thing I've read all year. You won't be able to put it down!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the most ENTERTAINING combat stories!!!
Review: Extremely entertaining. Bob Norris is as good as, if not better than the Richard Hermans, Dale Browns and Tom Clancy's of the world. The actions are so real. Readers will feel like they're right there in the action. It is also easy to understand and keep you interested all the time. You can't even find a boring sentence. IF YOU DON'T READ THIS YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'VE MISSED!!! After you've read this, read FLY OFF.

Summary: Check Six - Hard to Put Down
Review: Fast paced, smooth, and thrilling. You rush to the next page to see what happens. I read it in one sitting! Compares favorable to Clancy.

Summary: Check Six! Destined for Hollywood!
Review: From the first catapult launch to the last bandit kill, ex- F/A-18 Hornet pilot Bob Norris confronts our senses with the acrid smell of jet fuel, the deafening roar of afterburners, and the vision of Navy topguns blazing across the sky. Told through the eyes of investigative reporter Jack Warner and with the wake of Tailhook in recent memory, a plot is afoot to prevent, at any price, women avaitors from joining the ranks of their male counterparts. Who is involved and where will they strike next?Norris' topical tale of betrayal is altogether expertly crafted, heart-pounding entertainment and, daresay, educational. Hollywood take note: Check Six! is what movies are made of!

Summary: Excellent insight in human emotions and carrier life
Review: I couldn't put this book down until I finished it. As a retired Air Force avionics supervisor on F-15 aircraft and involvement in Desert Storm, I appreciate the background information and development of the different personalities of the characters of the book. The attention to detail of the aircraft, the planning for the attack, and the insight of the people preparing for battle was great. I would recommend this book for all enthusiasts of military books with a taste for human experiences and emotions.

Review: I don't normally read fiction books, but this one was definitely different. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Bob puts you right in the cockpit with these pilots. Although this was fiction, Bob having been a pilot it make him an expwert on flying. I would highly recommend this book to everyone. Roadrunner 6 Out

Summary: I must've lost the last 20 pages.
Review: I have to agree that the flying scenes in this book are great. I can even get past the whole "Tailhook" thing, but I have a major problem with the ending.

As some of the other reviewers have stated, the book just sort of peters out. There is a great build-up, likeable if slightly unbelieveable characters, and some terrific action. Then it all sort of fizzles out.

I won't give away the plot of the book (others have already done that), but it almost seems like the ending was either re-written for whatever reason, or rushed to print. It just does not satisfy the reader. Too much is left dangling, too much left unfinished.

I don't know, maybe this is just a lead-in to a sequel???

Summary: Faced Paced, exciting, hooked from the first page
Review: I loved it. I was hooked from the first page and then had to ration myself as I did not want it to end. I was cheering the whole way for the cuplrits to be caught. The characters were very real. I can't wait for the sequel. I think it would make a great movie.
