Summary: Tight Work
Review: I have read Flyy Girl, and I plan on starting Single Mom sooner or later. Omar Tyree is definitely a master at his craft, he gets into his characters minds and gives us well rounded males and females. I was very interested in Bobby Dallas, his career and relationships. I wish he would have told Pearl off, but it was still good the way Tyree ended it. This book was worth the read, and I would recommend other Tyree books too!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Outstanding
Review: This book was very well written...Omar Tyree has truly put out a book that should be read by all...I truly enjoyed the book and all the determination he had making himself such a dynamic radio personality. Hard work paid off, however, life must go on...I take my hat off to the sister in the book...for sticking to her guns at all times.

Summary: Omar Tyree Has Done It Again!!!!
Review: I loved this book!! Omar Tyree is a truly gifted and intelligent writer. As a black woman, I can identify with the "changes" Bobby Dallas goes through in the book. As Tyree skillfully guides Bobby through all of the trials and tribulations that life often brings, you realize that Tyree is an author who does not need to uplift his male character at the expense of the opposite sex. Thank you Omar!!!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A good, solid lead.
Review: I thought that this book was an improvement on Flyy Girl. Tyree gives his readers characters that are believable and human. Inconsistency is a common human characteristic so I don't understand why so many people were put off by Faye's actions. Bobby Dallas is not only believable, but likeable as well. Good job!!!!

Summary: Good male perspective...
Review: I enjoyed "Do Right Man" by Omar Tyree. The male perspective of the story, was especially refreshing to me considering most of the books especially about black relationships are from a female perspective. And many women readers know, Men (esp. Black men)in literature, are not always portrayed in a favorable light.

I do agree with my other "sistahs" in the respect of Faye's character (since everyone's else's review gave away the ending.) beoming impreganted at the end of the story was not at all what I would have expected and kind of threw me off but all in all it was a good book.

Summary: For all those women who are waiting to exhale......
Review: Omar Tyree sheds a great deal of light on the male perspective of interpersonal relationships. He reveals the thoughts and feelings of a man merely looking for what we all want; happiness. His character, Bobby Caldwell, is not perfect. Its refreshing to see inside a man's struggles with his decisions and choices, his guilt in choosing between what is right and what feels good and to see what he is thinking as he wrestles with the conflict between his heart and his hormones. I think his exploration of the emotional growth of this college student into a grounded and centered man is well worth the cover price. I read it in three days and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys books which explore relationships.

Summary: Omar Tyree, you know you can do better!!
Review: I read this book a while ago and thought it was nothing compared to his first book, Flyy Girl. A Do Right Man moves entirely too slow. I had to force myself to finish the book. I did not care for Bobby Dallas. I wish you better success with your next novel.

Review: I read this book a while ago and felt that it could not compare to his first book. I loved Flyy Girl!!!! This book moved entirely too slow and by the end I had to force myself to finish it. I did not like the character Bobby Dallas. I wish you better success with your next book.

Summary: Disappointment
Review: I thought the author wasted his readers time w/a character like Bobby Dallas. If the author thought Bobby was a 'Do Right Man' he needs to go back and talk to some 'real men'. I felt his character was a chump and didn't deserve Faye. When she turned from a smart, intelligent woman to an idiot by getting pregnant, he compromised her character. Since his main character was such a dismal failure the two of them deserved each other. Next time I'll wait on the paperback if or when it gets to the library.

Summary: A Good Look At The Other Side
Review: Overall, this was a good book. I really enjoyed reading the man's side of things for a change. And yes people, there are people out there like Bobby Dallas. He was a good man but messed with a few too many woman at one point of the book. And like many others, I feel that Faye's character was too strong for her to end up pregnant before they were married. Please don't stop other viewers comments to discourage you from reading this book. It really was good.
