Summary: Disappointed
Review: After reading French Quarter, I was excited after buying this book by Stella Cameron. I wish I had read the reviews before making the purchase--what a disappointment! The plot was disjointed and the dialogue between characters was choppy and adolescent. I'm about three-quarters of the way through the book and just cannot finish it.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Unreadable mess of a book - a terrible disappointment!
Review: At first glance this book looked like it had all the elements - New Orleans, murder, romance - to make a fine mystery/suspense novel. However, this novel is basically rendered unreadable by poor plotting, horrible timing and confusing dialogue. I am a readaholic and almost always finish any book that I start but I couldn't even make it half the way through this pile of drivel. It is a terrible disappointment and I wish I could return mine.

Summary: Not That Bad...
Review: Cold Day In July by Stell Cameron wasn't that bad. Well, at least not ad bad as some of the jerks that write bad reviews out of jelousy would have you believe anyway. As a rule I like this writer. Granted this one is not one of Ms. Cameron's better writes, it is however still doable. The editing leaves a lot to be desired and the ending was a disappointment or I would have rated the book 4 Stars.

Summary: Cold Day in July
Review: COLD DAY IN JULY by Stella Cameron is easily one of my all time favorites by Stella Cameron. Marc Girard comes to Touissiant, Louisiana to try and find his sister who seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. Upon arriving in Toussiant, he meets up with new town doctor Reb O'Brien.
Things heat up quickly between them, but there are some people that are not happy to see Marc settling in town and are determined to drive him out of Toussiant.

COLD DAY IN JULY gave me the chance to meet up once again with the sexy priest from French Quarter Father Cyrus. You also get to meet the fine folks of Touissiant.

COLD DAY IN JULY will have you hungering for more tales from Toussiant.

Summary: Bad Ending
Review: I am so glad that other readers echo my sentiments about this book. She happens to be one on my favorite writers and i actually bought this book the same day it came out . I have never been so dissapointed in her. She spent a lot of the book developing too many characters, only for her to forget to mention them at the end. It gives you the feeling that there should be another part to the book. Also in many chapters she had too many people talking at the same time, makes it very hard for you keep track of who said what. She's getting a 3 star because the relationship between the two main characters was a good one other than that it was a dissapointing book!!!

Summary: needs an ending
Review: I enjoyed reading Stella Cameron's "A Cold Day In July". The characters were compelling and the plot was intriguing. The culprit was cleverly disguised and the investigation was intelligent. The romance between Reb and Marc evolved slowly at first but really heated up at the end. It really had me going and then it just ended. I had gotten a used copy so I cursed myself for trying to save a few bucks and went out to find the complete story. Wasn't I surprised to learn that my copy was as complete as any other. What happened? Where were Cameron's editors? Okay, the book is good if you like to make up your own ending otherwise beware.

Summary: Nice to know I'm not alone...
Review: I logged on to Amazon.com to see if this book really ended so oddly, or if I was missing pages. It was a very good read, with an unsatisfying ending.
