Rating: Summary: Sexy and Thrilling Review: Oh my gosh, Marc is definately a MALE. His pores just ooze out masculinity. The dynamics between Marc and Karen just shoot out of the pages and it feels like you're right there watching the scenes unfold. I loved the fact that Marc was suspicious of Karen and later, totally made up for the fact that he felt that way. An all-around good book.
Rating: Summary: GOOD ENOUGH! Review: I ENJOYED IT! IT WAS NOT MY FAVORITE OF HER BOOKS BUT YOU CAN'T HELP LIKING HER CHARACTERS - ESPECIALLY THE MEN!!
Rating: Summary: NEW ORLEANS HERE I COME Review: WOW! What is it about those male characters authors depict from New Orleans? You just want to eat them up! A sexy hero to the rescue of our in trouble heroine. Great love scenes (of course, this is LH after all!), good characterization and a great plot. You'll rush through this one so fast you can be on that airplane to New Orleans in no time! A KEEPER!
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down Review: I don't understand why anyone would give this book less than 5 stars. It was excellent! Karen goes to New Orleans to identify her estranged father. The detective in charge, Marc is no nonsense man who cares about his cases. The attraction is mutual from the beginning and it got only better. It was refreshing to read about two people who realize early on how they feel about each other instead of the always 'he/she loves me, he/she doesn't' That thinking is getting quite old with some authors. Linda Howard is by far my favorite and I have loved them all.... with the exception of Sarah's Child because the female lead character was too much of a wimp. I wholeheartedly agree with the reader from California... good work Linda!
Rating: Summary: Steamy!! Review: I've been hooked on Linda Howard books since reading "Mr. Perfect", and this is one of her best! I would describe this as more of a romance book than a mystery/suspense though. While parts were suspenseful, it was pretty obvious what was going to happen in the end. I did love both the settings of New Orleans and Columbus though. I was in Columbus over the summer and who hasn't dreamed of visiting New Orleans at one time? The best part of this book though, shamefully, is the passionate sex! Oh my...I actually blushed while reading this book. You won't be disappointed if you read this great Linda Howard book!
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: I have only recently been reading Linda Howard books and I am a fan. I have decided she is going on my favorite list along side Nora Roberts, Jayne Ann Krantz, Dara Joy, Donna Fletcher, Lynn Kurland to name a few. She is in great company. Her characters are strong, funny, and she writes a great story. Some people seem to have a problem with the fact some of her characters get together too quickly. People its a story, not real life. its for enjoyment. I have read other books of hers. I like the paranormal stuff as well as her sense of humor. You Go Girl. You have a new and devoted fan.
Rating: Summary: Good, but not Great Review: When I read the back cover for this novel, I almost chose not to read it, as it didn't sound very realistic. And, while I wasn't crazy about the paranormal twist, Linda Howard handled it well--without it seeming too contrived, melodramatic, cheesy...take your pick. My problem with the novel was the feeling of too many loose ends; or rather, it seems as if Linda Howard was trying to introduce too much into the story. In turn, too many facets of the story didn't have a clear purpose. For example, the reader is told very little detail about Richard Worth's background. We are teased with tiny snippets about his roots in Virginia and his stint as a Ranger, but told more about his current wealth. Linda Howard wants him to be seen as a rags to riches story, and a down to earth person. This is difficult for the reader to visualize, when all the trappings of his wealth are so detailed and his humble beginnings are not. Secondly, I felt the scenario with the old, sweet, hot dog vendor to be simply thrown in, since his murder isn't entirely tied in with the real conflict of the story. Nevertheless, I did enjoy this novel. Like many other Linda Howard books, it is a fast-paced, entertaining read. My only advice would be to see if you can borrow it from the library or a friend before you buy it.
Rating: Summary: LOVE IT! Review: I absolutely adore Linda Howard's books...ofcourse this includes Kill and Tell..I have read almost every one of her books and I never seem to get enough of it. Mixed with suspense and romance..this book is truly fantastic. The way the Hero decided that Karen is his made me shiver..and the way her he pursued her..ahh..it just wants to make me fall in love with someone!
Rating: Summary: One of Linda's Best! Review: I just have to defend this novel after reading some of these horrible reviews! I have every single one of Linda's books, and the greatest thing about them is that they are all individual jewels. If you are looking for a writer whose books look and feel the same except for different character names and locations, DON'T look to Linda! Marc and Karen are preciously their own selves, not resembling any other characters of Linda's. I fell for Karen because she is so smart but Marc is just way too smooth and 6 steps ahead of her! Her reactions to their relationship I feel are absolutely believable. I also like the fact that Marc could admit his first impressions were off base, and see Karen for the hurt, loving daughter she was trying to hide so well. Absolutely the kind of man you want to find for yourself. You just keep going, Linda. I've already read about John as well, it REALLY tried my patience about how long before they got together, but as usual the story is nothing like any of your others! FANTASTIC!
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable Review: Marc, Marc, Marc, where are you ? What a MAN ! Sequel, sequel, sequel. Total fantasy material.
