Review: This book and its main character, Inspector Banks, are the most boring, predictable book and character I have read in a long time. I read the first hundred pages, was bored to death, read the final 10 and realized I had not missed anything. Inspector Banks is a very uninteresting investigator, and the storyline was highly predictable.
