Summary: Silly yet very entertaining
Review: In the middle of the Peruvian Andes, adventurer Dirk Pitt rescues a group of academics that leads to a whirlwind adventure with Peruvian guerrillas and scheming villains in the Andean jungle and Mexico. Ultimately, there is a search for some lost legendary Incan treasure that pits the good guys with some real evil men.

Inca Gold is a run-of-the-mill silly adventure tale but still delivers an entertaining punch at all the right times. The tongue-in-cheek comments by the hero and the clichéd remarks by the villains all prove to provide the reader with a nice chuckle. There is enough local color and actual facts (the guerrilla army is an actual group in Peru) to keep the reader feeling as if they are there in the midst of the action. The occasional Inca history passages educate the reader enough to satisfy a superficial curiosity into that fascinating culture. The unfolding of the plot is nothing less than predictable but you will blitz through the story with a smirk all the way.

Summary: WOW, WHAT A SERIES!
Review: I've heard that this is the worst book in the Clive Cussler series. If it is, his worst is five stars. This book, just like any other, has huge doses of suspense and action. You may be suprised by how fast you finish it. I strongly encourage you to read this book, along wth the other 17 (or-so) books that Cussler has written. It is our only hope that he can write books as fast as Stephen King.

Summary: Breathtaking
Review: I read that book and it was really a great adventure for me.
I got that book from a friend of mine. Initially, it was to be only a time killer but eventually it turned into a fascinating story
This was a great read and I really highly recommend it

Summary: Ignore most of the reviews
Review: Why do you read a book of fiction? Hopefully for enjoyment! Let the mind unload away from a tv. Too many of these reviewers seem to forget that. This book, and all in the series are excellent escapes to a world of action and wonder. Think of escaping to different areas around the globe, and always coming out the hero! That's what you get from Cussler's books. He peels away the blandness of life and gives you a kick in the rear! I'd hate to see people miss out on his works because of some of these reviews. Entertaining fiction rarely gets better.

Summary: Clive Cussler Knows His Stuff!
Review: Inca Gold is a great example (as usual) of how to combine true historical facts and frantic fiction! Very entertaining, very innovative and very well-written. Dr. Cussler keeps up to the high standards set previously.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: ... When I finally picked it up, I was amazed at how
good it was! Dirk Pitt is my favorite action character yet! Clive
Cussler did a bang up job on this one!
It is the only Dirk Pitt book I've read yet, and already I love it!
The story involves a family of thieves who steal artifacts and sell
them for profit. When they find an artifact
that, when disciphered, leads to a great treasure worth over a
billion dollars! The Inca Gold! They are racing to find the
treasure and kill the one man that dares to stop them...Dirk Pitt!

Summary: Buy it, read it, you will not be disappointed.
Review: Inca Gold is pure action-packed entertainment that is appealing to all readers. This book is swashbuckling adventurous fun with great twists and inventive situations. Inca Gold has adventure, light romance, cunning and no heavy technical info to slow down the exciting pace. A central villainous character gets his due in a way that will make you want to cheer! Inca Gold is a quintessential beach read (or savored when you don't have to put the book down to return to the real world any time soon)! Looking for a great book to whisk you away to exciting lands and action? Then this book is for you. Enjoy!

Summary: Good book
Review: this book was my third clive cussler book and i have to say it was the worst one of the lot. But thats not really saying much since all his books are great. For those who say this book is unrealistic... maybe you dont understand that clives books fall into the genre fiction... If you want a non-fiction book go read a dictionary or something.

Summary: this book rocks
Review: This book is filled with lots of great excitement and adventure. Just when you thought it was over something else amazing happened. You know every character even if they played a small role. There was adventure on every turn. Amaru was a perfect bad guy and Pitt and Al were a great team.I'm definately going to read all the other Clive Cussler books.

Summary: titles are hard.
Review: well this is the first cive cussler book i have read, my friend told me about him and my mom found this book for me. i think it is a very good book, not too action packed but has enough. and the way dirk pitt escapes in the end was differnet from what i expected and that was good. pretty good book, and from reading it i want to read other clive cussler books. oh, and it seemed as if clive cussler did research and that most of the facts in the book are acurate.
