Summary: This book rocks!
Review: I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It kept me glued to all 450 pages. Interesting plot twists and turns and character developments. The ending is well worth the wait.

Summary: Messiah
Review: If you liked Silence of the Lambs and Seven, you will love this book. It is not for the squimish. It has plenty of blood and gore and there is more then one strong story line to this book. Boris Starling is a talented writer, he made a fan out of me. I can not wait for his next novel.

Summary: Best Book Ever
Review: Messiah is the best book ever. I am a high shcool student and that is one of the only books that I have been able to truly get into. The killer in Messiah is the smartest character that I have ever come across in all the reading that I've done. His ideas and methods were pure genius. Anyone who can handle the grusome descriptions should read this book.

Summary: A MUST READ!
Review: I'm a H.S. Student and have very little time to sift through BAD books during the school year. Messiah was the first book in a long time that I had to read! I picked it up and from page one I couldn't put it down. I read it whenever I got free time...During class, Study Hall. This book was incredible and I loved the ending...If you like intresting plots and great story-lines this is for you! I do have to say though it is EXTREMLY graphic! It's not one of those after dinner reads!

Summary: MESSIAH
Review: ALTHOUGH A LITTLE PREDICTABLE, BORIS STARLING DOES A WONDERFUL JOB WITH MESSIAH. HIS DESCRIPTIONS OF THE CRIME SCENES ARE DETAILED AND GRUESOME. STARLING MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS PART OF THE DETECTIVE UNIT... LIKE I WAS RIGHT THERE WITH THE TEAM EXAMINING EVERY BIT OF EVIDENCE AND COMING UP WITH THEORIES OF MY OWN AS TO THE IDENTITY AND PURPOSE OF THE KILLER. THIS LEADS ME TO PERHAPS THE ONLY DOWNFALL(IF YOU CAN REALLY CALL IT THAT) OF THE NOVEL, THAT IS, IT DIDN'T TAKE TOO LONG TO FIGURE OUT WHO THE KILLER WAS. HOWEVER, THERE ARE PLENTY OF TWISTS AND TURNS THROUGHOUT THE STORY TO KEEP YOU SECOND GUESSING YOURSELF. ABOUT THE COMPARISONS TO SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, I THINK IT'S RIGHT UP THERE WITH IT, ALTHOUGH, I DID NOTICE PLENTY, AND I MEAN PLENTY OF SIMILARITIES TO THE MOVIE, "SEVEN"(WHICH IS ONLY THE GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME--- BUT THAT'S ANOTHER REVIEW), SO I DIDN'T MIND THAT TOO MUCH. SO, BESIDES BEING A LITTLE PREDICTABLE, MESSIAH IS A GREAT THRILLER THAT NO ONE SHOULD PASS UP. THE CHARACTERS ARE WELL DEVELOPED AND THE STORY KEEPS YOU BEGGING FOR MORE--- IT'S JUST TOO BAD IT HAD TO END. WITH MESSIAH BEING STARLING'S FIRST BOOK, I'LL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO READING HIS NEXT ONE. THIS IS REALLY A GREAT BOOK-- IT WOULD PROBABLY MAKE A GREAT MOVIE AS WELL. HMMM... QUICK, SOMEBODY GET THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THE MOVIE "SEVEN" TO READ THIS BOOK!

Summary: SUPERB!
Review: I am a great fan of psychological thillers and this is one of my favourites. From the first sentence there is a great suspence. Even though the book is quite thick, it reads very fast. The book is not for people with bad harts or people who get sick easy. The way some murders are described is rather detailed en gruwsome.

Summary: "Messiah" Reigns
Review: I am an avid reader of thrillers/suspense novels and have read numerous horror thrillers including books by Stephen King, John Saul and Thomas Harris. "Messiah" is one of the best thrillers I have ever read. When I purchased the book, I did not know what to expect as "Messiah" is the first effort by Boris Starling. I was not disappointed in the least. In fact, my only disappointment is attributable to the fact that the book had to end. Mr. Starling has apparently done significant research and has produced a compelling masterpiece of suspense with an imaginative and original storyline. I recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery thrillers. I am eagerly awaiting Mr. Starling's next effort!

Summary: hmm...
Review: Well, it looks as if I'm in the minority here but I have to say that I didn't think this book was that great. It was very predictable and I never found myself really caring much about the characters.

The references to Silence of the Lambs made me laugh once I had finished the book. Starling's characters come nowhere near the complexity of those in the Harris novels. I do agree however that it follows Seven very closely.

The one good thing I have to say is that the book is a quick read and easy to follow.

Summary: Boris is the man !
Review: The best book I have ever read, and still going nothing outlast the massia-izer it keeps going and going and going.

Summary: Best book of 1999
Review: Oh my god (no pun intended). This is the best book of the year. I could not put it down until I knew who Messiah was. It's like the "Sixth Sense" movie. At then end you want to read the book again to see the obvious that you missed while reading it the first time. Compared to "Silence of the lambs" I have to say that Messiah is way better. So many original ideas and plot twists. I can't wait to read his next book.
