Review: oh my god! i dont read much but this was fantastically gripping! full of shocks, suspense and very graphic. not for the faint-hearted. the best crime book ever. Messiah is about a detective and his team trying to solve a series of horrific and some what confusing murders where all the victims tounges are cut out and replaced with silver spoons. you think you know how it is but you are always wrong! read it now.

Review: If you like books that scare the socks of you, or makes you wish that it wasn't so dark outside...then this is a book for you. The charcters are all very well laid out, there are a lot of topics to wonder about..religion, evil and conscience. You can't be sure who the killer is and I promise you, that you'll be surprised with the ending. Also, this takes place in England...for a change ! I just hope that they won't make a movie out of this book....too scary to watch !

Review: It is not surprising that there are comparisons to Silence of the Lambs. I read through this book and got to the fourth murder before it dawned on me... "this is almost the same plot as Silence of the Lambs." How unoriginal. Even the author's last name is the same as one of Harris' characters. It appears that this author has some talent, but needs to expand on his own and stop with the striking similarities to other high-profile books.

Review: I picked this book up because of the blurb on the front which said, "The most terrifying thriller since 'Silence of the Lambs'". I thought, "What a bold statement for a book to make." Believe me, this book does not disappoint! It takes place in England which threw me at first because of the different terms they use, but you get past that in a hurry. This book is simply one of the best books I have read this year. I have recommended this title to over a hundred people! No really, I have. And I have yet to hear anything bad about this book. I can't wait to see what else Mr. Starling writes. If you are a fan of Thomas Harris, Jeffrey Deaver, or John Sandford, I urge you to buy this book! You will not be disappointed! It will be the best money you've spent on a book this year. The ending is mind blowing and I literally had to stop and think about it.

Review: When I read a book and am able to actually *see* it as a movie in my mind, I know I have found an intriguing novel. Through the gore & grizzly scenes, the depth & inter-play of the characters kept me grounded. Superb plot! And here I thought I had it all figured out! A good read. Should make a good movie. Question: Even though it is set in London, did anyone else picture the actor Morgan Freeman as *Red*?
