Summary: Kellerman's finest work
Review: This book is more than just a compelling story. It shows more vividly than ever Kellerman's skill as a novelist and his credibility as a child psychologist. It is all so believable and yet is a totally riveting reading experience. I truly believe that it is his finest work yet, and I say that after having enjoyed all of his books to date.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A GREAT NON-STOP READ
Review: THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF KELLERMAN'S BEST.IT HELD MY INTEREST AND I CHOSE BILLY STRAIGHT OVER THE MONICA TV CIRCUS.EVEN MY SLOW-READER HUSBAND IS HOOKED ON THIS EXCELLENT,THOUGHT PROVOKING MYSTERY.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of His Best!
Review: I have been a Kellerman fan for years, but I thought his last two Delaware books were not uo to his high standards. What a pleasant surprise this book is. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the kid, Billy, who warmed my heart. Petra Conner, the detective , is a strong character and I look forward to seeing her in future books. Mr. Kellerman has a winner with Billy Straight.

Summary: Kellerman just short of a "perfect score"
Review: I can happily recommend this book - it passed my number one test of fiction; I liked the main characters, and cared about what happened to them. My second test, the pace, also received high marks - Jonathan Kellerman has mastered the art of keeping the story alive while "fleshing out" the characters until they are delightfully familiar (just ask anyone who follows the Alex Delaware series!).

However, I've got to subtract one star from the perfect score. While I love a happy ending, I had to roll my eyes (let's be honest - I nearly gagged) at the "too perfect" way in which the story is wrapped up and topped with a bow! If I had to fault Jonathan Kellerman's writing with one flaw - it would be the flip side of the coin that makes his fiction so good; the characters are so likeable, he can't bear to leave them unhappy! I won't ruin the ending for those who will still read this book (and I encourage them to do so!), but suffice to say - he REALLY liked Billy. Give me a break!

That said, if he decides to kill off one of my favorite characters in his next book, I'm going to be really angry! Ha! I eagerly await Jonathan Kellerman's next release!

Summary: Go back to Alex Delaware, please!
Review: I am a big fan of Jonathan Kellerman but was very disappointed with his last book, Billy Straight. The story dragged on and on to where I would stop reading from boredom. Please go back to what you do best , writing about Alex Delaware and his sidekick, Milo!

Summary: Kellerman does the job this time around!!
Review: For me, staying into a 400+ page book is almost impossible, but I was able to read Billy Straight in just 2 days. I give Kellerman 5 stars for this excellent novel.

Summary: Excellent read. Kept my attention throughout.
Review: Billy Straight is a great quick read. Not as thrilling as any Patricia Cornwell book; however it held its own within the mystery department. I loved the characters. This book kept my attention throughout. I highly recommend Billy Straight.

Summary: Great!
Review: Great story, and interesting new characters. Keep going that way. I had been very disappointed in the Survival of the fittest, and was hoping for better with this one. And I was NOT desappointed at all.

Summary: I was certain who the killer was and was fooled at the end!!
Review: Like any great mystery I couldn't put this book down. I've read every one of Jonathan's Alex Delaware novels and pine until the next one. The only thing I was disappointed about was the conspicuous absence of Alex and Milo. I am also greatly relieved that nothing (more physical or sexual)happens to Bill (than did)as there is too much of that in real life. I couldn't take it if something had. I love the suspense, but glad you didn't add more, and that he ends up? somewhat okay. You have to let us know if Petra adopts him! Who cares if the bad guy "gets his". Hope you add another "Petra" et al to the collection and bring Alex and Milo in more too. I love the dedication to your bride too. Not enough of that in this world either...

Summary: Great Listening
Review: This was the first book of Kellermans that I have bought on audio, but it won't be the last I enjoy him as an author and this book wasn't an exception. I loved the main character and although the plot became somewhat predictable at times ( hands up those who didn't guess who the real killer was) it was still enjoyable right to the end. Light listening/reading at its best
