Summary: Compelling Read!
Review: I thought this book was one of the most compelling stories I have read in a long time. The action is fast and the conclusion was anything but predictable. I was sad when the story ended. I hope this writer has more books scheduled for release in the near future. Christy French has become an author I will be on the lookout for! I love her!!!

Summary: MUST READ NOVEL !!!
Review: WAYNE'S DEAD by Christine French is without doubt one of the best novels I have had the pleasure of reading this year. This book was given to me as a gift and as it turns out it was one of my favorite BD presents. I will most certainly be on the lookout for more thrilling stories by this super writer!

Summary: Thrilling Suspense!
Review: I am such a huge suspense lover and let me tell you, WAYNE'S DEAD, by Christy French was the PERFECT MYSTERY. Once I began this story I had trouble tearing myself away from it. The opening lines of this story still ring loudly in my brain. This book is terrific and anyone who doesn't like it must be from another world! I'm proud to recommend WAYNE'S DEAD as a must read novel!!!

Summary: A Real Page-Turner
Review: A serial killer who murders, then mutilates victims and writes "Wayne's Dead" on the wall in their blood. A jaded homicide investigator who is distracted from the investigation by his love affair with a peripheral witness. A psychologist who struggles with his indecision regarding whether or not to contact the police about his patient, the killer. A beautiful young woman who loves the lead investigating detective intensely yet harbors dark secrets. Does the serial killer actually suffer from MPD or not? You decide.

I read this book in one day - the story moves quickly and held my attention throughout the book with characters you love and those you hate. The dialogue seems real-life, some of the scenes are realistically grisly, and the love affair between Jackson and Gillian intense. Reminds me of the Davenport series by John Sandford.

Great read. I highly recommend this one.

Summary: creepy
Review: I was extremely disappointed with this book. I had never read
anything by this author but this came up on my recommended list so I included it in a recent order. I though the characters were stiff and made for television. The [love] scenes were gratuitous and added little to the story line.

Summary: Flawed start but great story
Review: When I started reading this book, I had to get around the premise that the housekeeper tells us it is two hours past check-out time then we learn that she discovers the body at 8:05 a.m. Since I don't know of any hotels with a 6:00 a.m. check-out time, that distracted me from the story line.

Even though we knew who the killer was practically from the beginning, thus eliminating any mystery element, the story was very good. I would have liked to know how old Gillian was when her parents died, but otherwise I felt the characters and plot were well developed.

I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.

Summary: This writer has a lot of writers running for cover,
Review: Fresh, exciting, and a new voice, is what any Christine French book is all about. This new writer has a lot of the older ones running for cover. Move over and give this exciting new writer some breathing room! I fell in love with Ms. French after reading her debut book 'Chasing Horses' and until you take the time to read all of her books starting with Chasing Horses, you will have no idea what I am raving about! You owe it to yourself to find out...so, what are you waitig for...BUY HER BOOKS!!!

Summary: I Love This Author!
Review: I ordered "Wayne's Dead" after reading French's first book "Chasing Horses" and was amazed at the vast differences between the two books. Totally different genres. The first is full of humor and playfully written and deals with a woman trying to come to terms with her life, while the second is serious almost to the point of darkness and deals with a serial killer who is evil and without remorse.

Both, though, are written at a fast pace and in a concise manner, which held my attention throughout. I think French's style is just fabulous.

Jackson Daniels is a brooding man looking for a woman who has not become hardened by life. He thinks he finds that woman in Gillian, who is beautiful and somewhat naive. The two become entangled in an intense love affair which keeps Jackson from focusing on finding the serial killer who has begun to prey on middle-aged attorneys in their town. Marvin, Jackson's partner, brings some comedic relief to the story and is a fun character. The chapters with the serial killer are spine-tingling.

One of the best thrillers I've read in awhile. I searched this author and saw she has another book out, and I'm interested to see what that one's about.

Summary: Good story but,
Review: Christy French has written a good story with Wayne's Dead. I would have given her book 4-stars had she not given up the 'bad'guy' so early in the story. In my opinion, doing so took away from the suspense of the story line making the remainder of the story predictable. Nothing personal intended, just thought this would have been a great story if she would have made the reader wait just a little longer.

Summary: I'm a Fan!
Review: I met this author when she was vacationing in Florida, so was curious as to what she had written. I purchased her second book first since I prefer thrillers, and I was not disappointed. The ending gave me goosebumps. The book is about a serial killer suffering from multiple personality disorder who preys on married, middle-aged attorneys. The reason why is easily understood. Christy writes with a quick pace, and the story moves fast. The characters are portrayed realistically, as is the dialogue. I like the Southern influence as well as setting she gave to the book. Now I'm going to order her first book - I'm a fan.
