Summary: Had it a few months and already read it twice
Review: I don't know what it is about this book other than the fact that it's a fast read with identifiable characters and dialogue that works, but it's one that I've already read twice and will read again. I've even given several as gifts to friends and family. I'd like to see more by this author.

Summary: Bought it for my girlfriend - I'm keeping it
Review: "Wayne's Dead" was on my girlfriend's wish list for Christmas, so I ordered it for her. When the book arrived, I had some free time, so started paging through it, and before I knew it, was really into this book. I'm keeping this one for myself and ordering another one for her. For someone like me, whose attention drifts, this was a fast, interesting, entertaining read.

Summary: Wayne May be Dead, but I'm Still Thinking About This Book
Review: My local bookstore manager recommended this book to me. I wasn't too sure since I hadn't heard of the author, but after reading this book, I'm adding Christy Tillery French to my list of authors to track and read.

I like the MPD issue with the serial killer, plus the way the author explained the killer's mindset. The chapters between the killer and the psychologist were great. Jackson Daniels kind of reminds me of a young Lucas Davenport from the Sandford series - intense, moody, edgy...

Cannot wait to read this author's other two books. Hope her next one will be another thriller!

Summary: Powerful!
Review: Jackson Daniels is an investigator with the Knoxville Police Department whose world is turned upside down when he begins searching for a serial killer who targets married, middle-aged attorneys. When he meets Gillian McKenzie, a woman who knew one of the victims, he falls hard and his world goes into a tailspin.

The efforts to track the serial killer reveal no forensic evidence. The intense relationship Jack and Gillian share begins to reveal mysteries about Gillian. The ending, where the killer is revealed, is thrilling. I love the last sentence of this book - chilling!

Great characters - Jack's partner, Marvin, is a real bonus. The dialogue is rough and situational. This is one powerful thriller!

Summary: Page-Turner!
Review: "Wayne's Dead" was chosen by our book club for reading/ discussing, and everyone agreed they liked the book as well as the author's writing style. With French, there's no lengthy paragraphs going nowhere, descriptives that seem to go on and on (which I always skip over), and so many twists and turns, you get dizzy. The pace is fast and the dialogue realistically fits each character. A good one!

Summary: Glued to my chair during the read of this book!
Review: Wayne's Dead was such a compelling story. I was glued to my chair during the read of this book. Several times I tried to lay it aside but couldn't. Now that in itself should tell you how great this story is!!! Buy the book and judge for yourself!

Summary: Good Story!
Review: "Wayne's Dead" was chosen by our book club as the book to be read and discussed for November, and the club unanimously agreed this is a great book. The story is well-plotted, the characters have depth with realistic dialogue, and it moves at a quick pace. This is not a Mary Higgins Clark gentle mystery where no one ever curses and everyone speaks properly. This book reads like a real-life situation.

This is one of the best thrillers I've read this year. Our book club is discussing reading this author again - that's how much we liked her work. In any event, I intend to continue reading what she's written so far. Ms. French is a fresh voice with her own unique style. I recommend this one.

Summary: Gripping
Review: As a reader who gets bored easily, it's refreshing to find an author who writes at a fast pace, doesn't overindulge in descripives or superfluous information, and delivers a good story. I'm glad I found this author, just wish she had more books out there.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A really great entertaining book
Review: Ms. French has written a mega thriller with tons of twists and turns. I really enjoyed this book. I read at the beach a lot and I couldn't put it down. Kept me turning the pages right up to the last one. Great book!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Both Chilling & Exciting!
Review: Wayne's Dead was both a chilling story as well as an exciting one. The characters ring true to life and the plot was thrilling. If you are a mystery reader like I am, then Wayne's Dead, by Christine French, is the book to order. Take my word for it you will not be disappointed!
