Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: This book was a pge turmer!! I couldnt put it down. I bought it at the airport, right before my first ever airplane ride. I was by myself and the book was so realistic and so exciting that i was actually gripping the armrests!! THe element of suspense danger and a growing romance between Kat and Robert made it all worth it!
Rating: Summary: Not his best work Review: This is not Nance's best work, but it's a quick read and enjoyable for the most part. Parts a bit too far-fetched, even for non-pilots.
Rating: Summary: Not as good, but still good! Review: This is the most fascinating book I have read in many years. The detail and descriptions were incredible and actual; the characters were a true group of characters; and the storyline was spell-binding. I could not put the book down. This is the mark of a true bestseller. John Nance has written many books regarding airplanes and the airline industry, but this one is by far the best. I will be depressed when I am finished.

Rating: Summary: ... and even that star is one too much :( Review: Well I'm absolutely disapointed ! I like to read books with airplanes and am ready to forgive a lot of wrong plots, impossible survivals and so on. But this book is very strange. Leaders of major organisations are playing dumb - just an example : CIA tells the President, that a jumbo pilot may have been blinded by crashing into a smaller jet, because the explosion of the smaller jet before his cockpit was so bright - and still its known, that the jumbo was absolutely free of damage - and the President is buying that explanation ... Well, most of the people in the book are unrealistic and unpleasant. Women in the wrong footwear drag ablebodied man that try to resist through the forrest of Vietnam ... and so on. Just buy another book. This one is just plain bad.
Rating: Summary: Buy this book, and I'm sure you will gasp for air! Review: What a great book! It's thrilling and compelling all the way, and it's keeps you reading to the end! Cause when you first have started on this book, you can't stop and you want to know the ending of this mystery! I'm sure of that! ( If you like thrillers though ) Blackout start with a mysterious plane crash, near Cuba. After a while after that, Katherine Bronsky ( A wonderful character, first introduced in The last Hostage. So if you don't have readed that book, I recommend that you read that before Blackout ). have a speech in Hong Kong, about the crash. There she meets Robert McCabe ( Also a wonderful one ), who ask hard questions about the crash, who she don't can anwer on, because it's such things who don't shall out. A little laterin the book, it's clear that Robert knows something that he don't shall know, and is therefore followed at his hotel in Hong Kong by some men. That is, after my opinion, the most thrilling place in the whole book! But it's keep going on after that too, so i'm sure you will read it through ( They who likes books, and thrillers ). And if not, you will miss something great, by a great author, who knows his stuff! So, if you have readed The last Hostage ( A great book too! ), not hestitate to by this book! P.S. I'm sorry about my bad English, but I come from Norway.
Rating: Summary: You can't relax for a second... Review: Whoa...I like thrillers, but this one was especially tense.About the time you think, "they made it," they get rightback in it again. I hated ending the book and saying goodbye to thesecharacters...[T]his was an extremely good, albeit exhausting, book to read! Be prepared!
Rating: Summary: Don't miss this one Review: You first must realize that this is a work of fiction and written to please the reader. Mr. Nance has done all this. Could it happen? I don't know. Did it keep me interested all the time? Yes. We have an author who does not use sex to sell, an author who uses violence when needed, but again not to sell the book. This is a book to enjoy both for the plot and the characters. I wondered throughout the entire book as to how it would end. There were a lot of times I thought I had it figured out and then I was not so sure. There are just enough players to keep you guessing and on edge. Buy this book. All his books have been good and this is as good or better.
