Summary: TO ME--A GREAT BOOK!!!!!!
Review: I know we all see different things in each book. To me, this was one of the best I have read. It grabed my attention from the first page and never let go. Pearson used outstanding police work in his book. It will let you feel like you are there. You can see in you mind what is happening, the fear, the anger, the thoughts that go through peoples minds. One killer??? Two killers???? How many??? How many will be killed???? Will he or they be caught before they can kill again???? A great book, in my humble openion. ...

Summary: Powerful plot written in an exciting fashion.
Review: I loved this novel as I have almost everyone of Ridley's novels. Mr. Pearson has a way of grabbing the reader and not letting go until you reach the hair-raising end. Another big hit for Pearson

Summary: Predictable and plodding
Review: I think if I would have read this book when it was released (1988), I would have been utterly floored. Lou Boldt is awesome, the murderer cunning, the murders disturbing. The problem with reading it now, however, is the explosion of serial killer books and movies over the past ten years. With the myriads of plotlines in this exhausted genre hovering about, Undercurrents loses a bit of its edge. I would also argue that the book goes on a bit too long for its own good. Still, a very good booki for its genre and time, and a good start to the Lou Boldt series.

Summary: One word, "Awesome" !!
Review: Never have I read a book so intense and so addictive! I lost almost half a nights sleep trying to find out what happens next. When I finished reading it, I so wanted more. That's why I went out and bought his other "Lou Boldt" books. I recommend this fast paced thriller to anyone who is a fan of this genre - even if you're not....

Summary: Serial Author Tackles Seattle!
Review: Only Ridley does Seattle really well. Lou Boldt is in charge of a task force that's going nowhere--a serial killer is on the loose in the Green Lake area, (his marriage is a mess (he talked his wife into an abortion & now she's cheating on him) Someone is leaking info to the press, Lou's best witness a pubescent 13 year old boy) is in jeopardy because of the leaks, and something smells--not all the crime scenes line up, or do they? Lou adds a new detective to the fifth--makes her earn it but he knows how to pick em. You want to learn more about the pacific northwest? Read Ridley Pearso. Want a Gripping mystery? Read Ridley Pearson. Want agood eascape from reality? Read ridley Pearson.

Summary: A 5 Star Winner!
Review: Pearson, through a driven homicide officer takes the reader on a chase for a serial killer, or is it a copy cat? The author quickly moves you through the facts of the case and places before you the questions-- How? Why? How are the victims selected? Is there just one killer? Each chapter brings you closer to one of the answers. The movement of the book is excellent, short chapters that give specific clues. This is one book that will involve you in the investigation by page 15. You will feel as if you are working along with Detective Lou Boldt
