Rating: Summary: IF YOU FIND SOMEONE TOO PERFECT, WATCH OUT- JANICE FROM MASS Review: THIS WAS MY FIRST MARY HIGGINS CLARK BOOK, I FOUND IT VERY GOOD!! A FAST READ. VERY PREDICTABLE. SHE COULD HAVE CUT OUT A FEW CHAPTERS, JUST WENT ON A LITTLE TOO LONG WITH MR.PERFECT AND HIS MOOD SWINGS !! I'LL TRY HER AGAIN!!!
Rating: Summary: Best book by Mary so far! Review: This is my faviorite book of hers so far. Talk about not being able to put the book down, and not being able to go to sleep with the lights out. Mary does an outstanding job from cover to cover. GREAT JOB!!!
Rating: Summary: Wonderfully Written! The best of Mary Higgins Clark! Review: I have to write to Chris Volk! How on earth can you find this book at a rating of just three stars?!!! I am amazed and shocked that you find this book not as good as it could have been! This is my favorite book that I have ever read and I find it a diffinite page turner and diffinite well written book!
Rating: Summary: Gripping, a real page turner Review: I loved this book. It was great reading. The ending really suprised me. I love the character of Jenny. She is a bight, charming, single mother of two in the real world where money doesn't fall into your lap. I stayed up till two a.m. reading this page turner. It has great descriptions and you don't get bored.
Rating: Summary: How can you rate this a five star book??? Review: Sorry, I hate to ruin this quest for mysterious perfection, but this book was just...okay. Five stars? In other words, you cannot write a better book? I disagree. The plot was indeed enthralling and the suspense did become severe, but it was written as if you couldn't figure things out for yourself. Clark kept on posing question like, "Was Erich angry with me?" All through the book. I just become sick of being treated like I couldn't infer anything from the given situation for myself. Three stars.
Rating: Summary: Consuming Review: This is definately one of Mary Higgins Clark's best. You find yourself excited by the turn of events when Jenny, down on her luck and fighting to make ends meet, finds herself marrying a wealthy, sensitive man. All of her dreams have come true but MHC artfully turns that dream into a nightmare. I couldn't put this book down. I would recommend any of MHC's books but I believe this is her best.
Rating: Summary: My favorite Mary Higgins Clark book! Review: This book is suspenseful and exciting! If you like the movies Psycho and Gaslight, you'll love this book because it's a mixture of both. It's a real page-turner...you just can't put it down! The reader actually feels like they are in Jenny's shoes, which is the scary part. It's a definite must for suspense/mystery readers and Clark's fans.
Rating: Summary: really good light reading Review: I found this is a french library with a very limited selection of english, and was rather surprised to find that it was quite good. You can read it in a few hours, and the story, esp. the paintings, are really creepy. Not another Agatha Christie, but a pretty good book none the less
Rating: Summary: MHC at her best Review: I just finished reading A Cry in the Night, and I have to say that is definatly one of MHC's bests! I have read several of her books, and I love them! This book is very suspensful, and it keeps you turning the pages. It will keep you guessing till the end! If you are a fan of Mary Higgins Clark, than this is a must read!!!
Rating: Summary: Captivating Review: I have read all of MHC's books. I love the way she takes the reader to the edge of anticipation, excitement, and makes you feel like you are hiding in a closet peeking in on what's happening.
