Summary: Marvelous Book
Review: I first read "Under the Lake" 12 years ago. It is by far my favorite Stuart Woods book, and I rate it up there in my Top 5 books of all that I've ever read. This book is part mystery, part ghost story, part legend, part romance, and part history. Each of these aspects is perfectly written to make this an excellent book. To give away any of the plot would be an injustice to anyone who hasn't read this book. I know that I will never think of Lake Burton in Georgia the same way again.

Summary: Best Book I've Ever Read
Review: I just finished the book five minutes ago. It combines mystery and horror into one of the scariest and most suspenseful books I've ever read. There are all sorts of unanticipated plot turns that surprised the hell out of me. Tfe most fascinating thing about the book is that the author, Stuart Woods, managed to put closure on all the sub-plots the book explored. It's a superb piece of literature.

Summary: Truly A Page Turner...
Review: I must say it was a page turner... though the quote of Steven King saying it was scary as hell I don't agree with. It was scary... to a point and well written and you really couldn't put it down. But it wasn't on you can't read late at night. But don't let that put your hopes down! It is really one of the greatest books I've read! Its one of those books where the character doesn't know what has happened til the end. And the best part is that you are put in the characters position! Not one of those books where you know but they don't... You don't know either which really makes it a great book. Read it, like it, review it, read it again! This has really brought to my attention a new author to read.

Summary: Excellent!! I just had to know what was under the lake.
Review: I read everything and/or anything but few books keep me interested enough to put aside everything else. This book did. I could visualize the people, the town, the lake. Sometimes I just had to come up for air. If you don't want to sleep, read this book.

Summary: A gripping, mysterious and eye opening thriller!!
Review: I read this book several years ago, but still cant get it out of my mind. I think it would make a great movie!! It is definately one you cannot put down, so allow yourself time - plenty of time!!! And then, try to remember, it's just a book!!! Are you ready!?!?!?

Summary: The best book Iv'e ever read
Review: I'm 15, and i don't like reading very much. This is the 1st book that I found to be actually interesting. I finished it in 3 days as opposed to 3 months with other books.

Summary: Great Book
Review: If you like Stuart Woods this is a must have. Easy reading and good plot. This is a "read it in a day" book.

Summary: Not his best
Review: It was pretty good but it didn't hold me like some of his others, i.e. Grass Roots, Choke, LA Times I couldn't put those books down. I don't think it was at all scary like you are led to believe from the cover. Overall I think it deserves a 3 star rating.

Summary: A disappointing read
Review: Like many of us, I'm busy and I take my reading seriously. I picked up Under the Lake at the library and was intrigued by Stephen King's review on the back cover. I normally don't read mysterys of this sort, but thought I'll give this one a whirl. It was a disappointing read. I feel cheated. I wish I had chosen another book to spend time with. I found the plot unbelievable and trite. A total waste of reading time.
