Summary: Great First Read for newcomers to Kinsey Millhone
Review: This book was the first of the Grafton Series I read. No bones about it, I bought it because of the cover, which believe it or not, is often how I am lead into a new Author. Of the mystery writers I enjoy (Mary Higgins Clark, Patricia Cornwell), I like Sue Grafton equally as well.

Her books are lighter reading than the other authors cited, but technically good, and have a great humor component to make the experience perfect for bedside reading. I can usually finish one of her books in a few days. I have since gone back and bought all the previous books and read them too.

I think this one was my favorite, because it was the start of a wonderful series.... that's kept me busy over the past few years. I hope you'll take time to enjoy.

Summary: "G" is for Good, not quite Great.
Review: This book was very much worth reading and I enjoyed it. I just can't quite give it 5 stars. I cannot put my finger on anything major, just a few minor things here and there that made it not quite as good as the previous ones in the series. One complaint I have is that the character of Dietz wimped out at the end. The problem of two diverse story lines was a bit distracting at times, but that was tied together pretty well. However, there was a major glitch, in my opinion, with the explanation of how the hit man was always able to find Kinsey. I don't want to give that away, but I will say that it was not very believable. This is not so much a stumbling point in the series as a leveling off. I still eagerly look forward to reading the rest of this series.

Summary: Grafton's Greatest!
Review: This is most definitely one of Grafton's most exciting, fast paced novels. As Kinsey turns 33, she gains a very special place on Patty's hit list. With her new hot bodyguard Dietz, she experiences more than one terrifying and life-threatening incident. Very recommended. Excellent read!

Summary: G is for Godawful
Review: This is one of the few Kinsey Millhone mysteries that I found extremely boring. It rambled on and on and on with no real plot or case for Kinsey to solve. It had some intrigue with the hit man and Deitz but some how Grafton was not able to pull it together into a comprehensive tale. All in all it was a real let down.

Summary: The best book in the alphabet series!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This is the best book in the series because it shows that Kinsey's softer side while also giving two great mysteries that both end in a very exciting way.

Summary: I really enjoy reading about Kinsey!
Review: This is the second novel by Sue Grafton that I have read. Plowing ahead with the series, I found 'G' to be engrossing and chilling. I just couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the double plots. Bringing back Dietz was a stroke of genius as it allows Kinsey to play off of a male version of herself. I see from other reviews that he will be in future books - can't wait. Overall the plot and suspense of the story were one of the best...it's definitely a don't-miss in the Kinsey series.

Summary: G is for Gumshoe and Good!!!
Review: This is the seventh Kinsey Millhone I have read and I think it is the best one so far. It is really two stories going on at the same time. Kinsey is hired to find the mother of a client and she also finds out she has a contract out on her for something else that happened in a previous book. She has to hire a body guard, Robert Dietz. I hope he is in some more books as I liked his character. The story held my attention all the way through. Usually I feel either the first or the middle of Graftons books are slow moving but not this time. Kinsey is her usually funny self in places. One is where she puts a sock in each cup of her bra and used it for earmuffs. I was a little confused about the missing mother during the last pages of the book but I am not to bright anyway.

Summary: Health food hit man
Review: This one has two main plots. One is a classical mystery with clues based on the Bronte sisters, about a woman's missing mother. The other is about a contract on Milhone's life taken by a jailed killer who hires a hit man. Actually, as always in Grafton, there are multiple plots: The hit man is trying to get custody of his son to prevent his mother raising him the wrong way and feeding him junk food;a woman goes into labor on the marriage registry office; Vera gets engaged after being caught in flagrate delicto etc, etc. A major strand is Milhone's affair with Dietz, her self-appointed bodyguard.
Hardcore Graftonologists will note that the telephone contact with Dietz in A is for Alibi is said to have taken place a year previously (hardcover publication date for that was 1982, this has a 1990 first publication date). Milhone has her thirty-third birthday is this one, and we are told that Irene is 47 and was born in 1940.

Summary: Awesome
Review: This was the best of her books yet. Altough I have only read a few, I have decided this on is by far the best! Kinsey is to nosy for her own good sometimes, but the hired "hit-man" does a good job of staying a secret

Summary: G is For Great Book!
Review: This was the first Book I read from the Grafton Series and the one that got me hooked. Kinsey is a character I think most women can relate to and envy a bit. She lives alone in a great apartment, she has her own business, and she has some of the same problems we all do relating to the world.

The beginning of the book starts out very innocently as you are introduced to the characters one by one and you get a real grasp as to what their like. Then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere comes the mystery and I have to tell you I couldn't put the book down.

I won't give anything away but you won't be disappointed!
