Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: I went with Mary and then... well, nothing Review: Everywhere That Mary Went started out fairly good with some interesting plots developing, but in the end, it was nothing to get too worked up about. When we find out just who is subjecting Mary to all this craziness, we're left not with thoughts of "Oh, of course! Why didn't I think of him?!", instead, it's more of "Really? That doesn't even make sense". This book takes I-didn't-see-it-coming to a whole new level. And I don't mean that in a good way. All-in-all, a mindless rainy day read -- not horrible by any means, but not worth running to the store for either.

Review: First book I've read by Lisa; but it won't be my last...Never been to Philadelphia, but feel like I have been thanks to this author's way with describing the town and its areas also. Loved Mary's parents -- they appear to be 'everyone's parents -- and (being Catholic) I enjoyed her book immensely for that reason also. Her three dimensional characters really make this a very good (and amusing) read; and the dialogue makes one feel that they are right there with Mary (EVERYWHERE she went)...
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Welll Review: I gave it to a used book store. It wasn't terrible, but if you really want to read it you should try to borrow it from a library instead of spending money on it. It just got a little cheesy here and there, and there, and a little over there too.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: If you are a fan of Lisa Scottoline, then this book is okay. Review: I got hooked the day I read my first Scottoline book. I like the characters and the not so heavy words used by the author. The only thing that bothers me whenever I read a book where the setting is 7-10 years ago that if you ask yourself if this takes place now, is the use of the phone. Today, there are cellphones everywhere that even the janitors have one of their own. Lawyers would be carrying Blackberry phones or those with cameras and multiband freq with them.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Everywhere That Mary Went Review: I thought that this book was a very fast paced read. I have read Mistaken Identity and Moment of Truth and I think that Lisa Scottoline is a very unique writer with her own style which is what I look for. ... I really didn't notice the amount of "Four letter words" in this book. The story held you to much to worry about it.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: A little lambish Review: I was disappointed with this highly acclaimed maiden novel by Lisa Scottoline, however not so much that I won't read her sequels. The thrill and the tension that I knew was supposed to grip me as the story developed just didn't happen. There were too many side line stories that seemed to go nowhere, as if they were there merely for padding. The main sub-plots should have concentrated on our heroine Mary's Italian immigrant parents, her male secretary, her late husband and her two or three main colleagues, associate lawyers at "Stalling & Webb" in Philadelphia. Her relationship with those key characters was well portrayed and formed a sound basis for weaving the body of the thriller around. However, the distractions of introducing so many other characters for just a page or two only seemed necessary to provide a bigger field of potential "whodunit" culprits. No, I didn't guess who did it! The legal knowledge of author Scottoline was evident as the story unfolded and this, combined with her easy writing style, made for an enjoyable story with a surprising conclusion.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Mary's no lamb Review: Lisa Scottoline in her debut Everywhere That Mary Went introduces feisty Mary DiNunzio of South Philadelphia. Mary is a recently widowed, soon to be made partner of a prestigious law firm. Mary is also being stalked. She is receiving prank phone calls, notes and being followed by a car. She is getting spooked and beginning to wonder if the stalker could have been the hit and run driver who killed her husband. She has two good friends who are very interesting characters, Brent, her secretary and Judy, fellow lawyer. She also has a new love interest who she is afraid may be the stalker. Overall the book is a well planned and paced mystery, with characters who are interesting and entertaining. Book is not deeply intellectual, but that is not why one would read a book such as this. It has good entertainment value.
