Prior to reading this book, I didn't really believe in miracles. Truthfully. Now, however, I find myself a believer. Truthfully.M.R. Sellars has indeed created a miracle in his first novel, "Harm None - A Rowan Gant Investigation". Writing a first-class thriller without resorting to cliche and folly is in itself a master accomplishment. But to do so whilst portraying a frequently misunderstood religion successfully (and without pretense), is simply miraculous. On this fine journey, Sellars takes us into the life of Rowan Gant, a practising Witch. A likeable fellow, Rowan becomes involved, via his close friend Ben Storm, in what appears to be a cult murder. What ensues is a story of magick, mystery and human nature. The tale spins you around like a whirlwind, picks you up and throws you onto a rollercoaster ride like no other. The characters are realistic, the technical content is simply incredible, and the ending will indeed surprise and delight you. This book will also scare the pants off you. It did me...and I'm not easily scared! You must buy this book. As a supernatural thriller, "Harm None" deserves 5 stars. As a cross-genre first novel, "Harm None" is a miracle.

Sellars does a variety of things with Harm None, not the least of which is scare the pants off the reader. But he also takes us into a world that many know nothing about--at least the facts about: contemporary witches and the Wiccan religion. Sellars has managed to educate, entertain and terrify all at the same time. I look forward to the next book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great Read! Review: M.R.Sellars has blended an intense mystery with the craft to make a unique read. This book will grab you and won't let you go until it's finished. Also a very good portrayal of witchcraft with only a few liberties thrown in for spice. I would recommend this book for pagans as well as mystery fans. It has has a little something for everyone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Not just for Pagans Review: This book is a fabulous addition to the amateur sleuth genre. It deserves to find a very wide audience, not just pagans. It presents an excellent plot, believable characters, and a very realistic portrayal of witches. It puts in just enough of the "hocus-pocus" stuff (as one character calls it) to give a very mystical, mysterious feel to Rowan. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries or simply loves a good story.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A writer who knows his stuff....AT LAST! Review: As as third generation Wiccan, I approached this book with mixed feelings. What I found inside was a joy! Not only is it well written, but it is also very in depth on the subject matter. A modern writer who knows what he's talking about, writes for the reader, doesn't denounce the TRUE Wiccan OR 'hype it up', is a rare find indeed. That rare find has been found......I await the authors' next work.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Super Review: Harm None: A Rowan Gant Investigations M.R. Sellars WillowTree Press ISBN 0967822106 June2000 This is the debut of M.R. Sellars "Rowan Gant Investigations series. Rowan Gant is contacted by a good friend Detective Ben Storm to answer questions about his religion, which is Wicca, and to give his alibi for the time of the murder. Rowan explains to his friend that even though he is a witch in "The Craft" their code is to harm none, and they do not sacrifice animals or people. When Ben shows Rowan pictures of the crime scene, Rowan realizes he knows the victim. The victim, Ariel, was a student in the craft. Rowan and Ben set out to solve the murder. While they are working the case, other murders happen and they are even worse than the first. This book kept me in suspense to the very end, the author's description of the murders was so real I thought that I might be sick, and I loved it. That's what I look for in a good thriller. Harm None was so good I can't wait for his next book "Never Burn A Witch"; I hope that the author will allow me to review it also. M.R.Sellars is the recipient of the "Linda White Literary Excellence" and the "Silver Quill Awards for short stories upon which the "Rowan Gant Investigations" are based on. Pam Stone
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: What a Surprise! Review: I recently attended a local Wiccan event and Mr. Sellars was there hawking his book... I thought 'what the heck, I need something new to read' so I got a copy, he signed it, and I took it home. I didn't really expect it to be THIS GOOD! If this book were made into a movie, it would give "The Bone Collector", "Silnce of the Lambs" and "Seven" a run for their money! I thought I had it all figured out right at the beginning... little did I know! I couldn't put it down! The next day, we took some friends back to the local event and made them buy a copy too! Here's to many many more Rowan Gant mysteries!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent read, and intelligent too! Review: For once a book lives up to the advance reviews! Harm None is a very excellent read, and doesn't make the mistake of getting bogged down in technical details or an excessive amount of fluff. It protrayed the Wiccan religon in an intelligent and positive light and provided a very good read. The characters are well thought out, feasible, and fairly well rounded. The story line is gripping while maintaining a level of entertainment. I must bookmark this author and will be anxiously awaiting forthcoming books! This is definately an author and series to collect, I want to read the next one and have to wait! *pout* Highly reccommend it to anyone who likes a good suspensefull novel with a little magick thrown in, but make sure you have time cause this one you will want to read straight through! Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A superbly suspenseful thriller! Review: Harm None is a superbly suspenseful thriller featuring Rowan Gant, a modern day practice Witch, as the protagonist and the Greater Saint Louis Major Case Squad as the track down a sadistic serial killer who grotesquely parodies the practices of Wicca in order to absolve himself of his murders. Author M.R. Sellars draws upon the authentic practices of modern day Wicca or witchcraft in this deeply engaging novel of Magick mixed with murder. Harm None is a splendid, highly recommended, 392 page paperback novel and the first of a promised series of suspense thriller set in St. Louis featuring a modern day Wiccan practitioner.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Wicked Wiccan Mystery Review: Wicked Wiccan Mystery I've always had a curious nature when it comes to alternative religions and lifestyles but, moreover, I intensely enjoy a good mystery. Harm None captures you with an expertly woven mystery while secretly dispelling preconceived prejudices concerning alternative beliefs. It kept me spellbound from the first page.
