I was some what disappointed with "Night Sins" but found "Guilty As Sin" a non-stop read, finishing it in 1 day. Don't miss this one.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: very disappointing Review: I READ THIS BOOK BECAUSE OF A POSITIVE REVIEW IN A MAGAZINE AND I WAS EXTREMELY LET DOWN. THE CHARACTERS WERE SHALLOW AND THE PLOT WAS LAME. IT TOOK ME ABOUT 1 DAY TO READ IT BECAUSE I JUST FLIPPED THROUGH UNTIL THE ENDING. I HAD HEARD SHE WAS A GOOD AUTHOR, I WILL NOW AVOID HER LIKE THE PLAGE
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Guilty As Sin if you miss this book ! Review: This is my first TH book and she is now included in my list of favourite authors like Stephen King, James Patterson, Thomas Harris ... etc.
This book IS lengthy as commented by some readers but with a little patience, you will be rewarded with some good characterization, especially the relationship between Ellen North and Jay Butler Brooks, plus a surprise ending!
I particularly like those dark and scary notes which Ellen North received and I have compiled
most of them for your preview !
* a child has vanished, ignorance is not innocence but SIN ... * it ain't over till it's over ...
* The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers ...
* evil comes to SHE who searches for it Search S for SIN, see where we've been ...
** It's a SIN to believe evil of others, but it is seldom a mistake ... ** Some rise by SIN, and some by virtue fall ...

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Tami Hoag is at her best! Review: The first book I read by Tami Hoag was "Night Sins", and I had to know what happened. I read "Guilty as Sin" in just one night. I couldn't put it down! I loved it Tami, thank you!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Scary! Review: Did you get a chance to read "Night Sins" yet? I hope so, because we're reviewing the sequel "GUILTY AS SIN" now, and I don't want to spoil anything for you. "Guilty as Sin" picks up right where "Night Sins" left off. While a prominent Deer Lake citizen sits in jail for the abduction of Josh Kirkwood and the brutal assault on BCA Agent Megan O'Malley, Josh is returned home. Did Chief Holt arrest an innocent person, or is there still an accomplice on the loose? Now another child in a nearby town has been stolen, throwing further doubt on the suspect's guilt and scattering law enforcement resources across the county. With every new piece of evidence found, a dozen new questions arise. Rather than solving the crime, the investigation seems to be building a haystack in which to find their needle. Assistant County Prosecutor Ellen North must build a case against a suspect most people have trouble believing to be guilty. In fact, someone is violently protesting the arrest. Is a nationally recognized and applauded program for the rehabilitation of juvenile offenders really a clinic in violence and psychological terror, or is North jumping at shadows? Who is leaving notes and maddening clues, always one step ahead of the investigation? Has an innocent man been framed, victim of the age-old motives of lust and greed? Or is this just another ploy to lead the law agencies further afield? A career has been destroyed, a family torn apart, and a close-knit community will never look at a neighbor the same way again. Welcome to the next level of The Game.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Thank goodness there was a sequel Review: What a compelling book. Hoag's characters are many: real, heartwarming and fascinatingly bizarre. I had no idea what the outcome would be until the very end. It had me completely enthralled! A must read! Pick up the sequel (Night Sins) at the same time so you don't make yourself crazy wondering what happened.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Another edge-of-your-seat novel from Hoag! Review: I had read the first in this series of novels by Tami Hoag and was excited to begin the second. Guilty as Sin was no disappointment! I was hooked from page 1 to the last paragraph. The ending was one I never would have guessed and I really felt for the characters. I can't wait to read more of her novels!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: a "reeling" story that left me dizzy. Review: Guilty as Sin was my very first TAmi Hoag novel, but certainly not my last! She really keeps the reader guessing til the very end. The dialog was exceptional, written so skillfully that a screen writer would have an easy job of making this novel into a movie. She definitely knows her stuff in regards to the genre of her writing. She has proven herself to be right up there with the "big boys", Dean Koontz, Robin Cook, and Stephen King to name just a few. Great book, read it in 2 evenings. Couldn't put it down.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Like books, people can not be judged by their "covers". Review: Ellen North moved to a small Minnesota town to escape the "crazies" that she encountered on both sides of the law in the big city. Untainted by the lack of ethics she had witnessed, she takes on the most disturbing case of her career, kidnapping & the murder of a child. A crime that shocks the entire community of Deer Lake, Minnisota. While building her case against a man that she truly believes is guilty, she meets her match. A man who left the courtroom and abandoned the "good fight" of law to write about true life crime & the tragedies that surround it. Not knowing who to trust, she pursues her "gut" feelings, not only proving the case against the guilty man , uncovering the sordid lives of he and his accomplice, but as a bonus, finding true love.
