Rating: Summary: I felt let down... Review: I thought the author would tie up the loose ends at the conclusion of this story. I was wrong. Who really killed Cheryl? What happened to that steriod-popping friend of hers and Chris'? How did Terry expect to hide her pregnancy from Chris? What happened to the other men on the Cheryl videos? Did anyone actually see the Cheryl videos, or was Decker just bluffing? What actually went down when Decker got the promotion to Lt? Why didn't a tenacious copy like Decker follow-up on the "leads" that pointed to Chris as his uncle's hit man? I've liked the other Decker books, but this one fell short for me. There were just too many unanswered questions.
Rating: Summary: Worth reading, if you go for this genre Review: A fast-paced detective thriller. But I can't figure out why the author put in the Jewish theme, unless it is to show that there are also Jewish detectives. It adds nothing to the story and people not familiar with the scene won't even understand the terminology
Rating: Summary: I refused to put the book down. Review: Being the first novel that I have read by Faye Kellerman, I am extreamly impressed. It is over-flowing with suspense, danger, and passion, leaving the reader breathless and hooked on like a fish caught on a fishing line. The crazed teenage relationship between Terry and Chris is intensified as the plot thickens. I recommend this book to an open-minded person, otherwise one might be insulted from one's perspective.
Rating: Summary: A psychological thriller inside a mystery. Good read! Review: Having discovered Kellerman after reading "Sanctuary" only a few months ago, I've been reading each of the the Rina Lazarus, Peter Decker books in order. Starting with "Ritual Bath," "Justice" is the one I've just finished. Even though I have never been a fan of the mystery genre, the character development of Decker and Lazarus and the authentic Judaism are what hooked me on these books and keeps me wanting more. Readers like me should be forewarned that this book has very little of Peter and Rina or Judaism. There are consolations that will keep you spellbound, though. Kellerman presents the psychological underpinnings of the two young "lovers" in an engaging and artful storytelling device. My only criticism is that Kellerman should stay away from descriptions of other religious experience other than Judaism. She fails at describing either an authentic Baptist or Catholic experience and she should stop trying. Other than that, I think this is an extremely diverting, interesting, and entertaining summer read.

Rating: Summary: meh Review: Honestly, this was a really bad book. It was fun to read, and it passed the time on a boring car ride, but it was really bad. Never having read any Decker/Lazarus books before, I must say that I found both characters rather stale and far preferred Terry and Chris. Yet even they remained underdeveloped. The characters fell into their assigned roles: Decker, the cop we're all supposed to like; Rina, his pretty wife we're all supposed to like; Chris, the psycho we're supposed to feel guilty for liking; Terry, the sweet, beautiful, moral girl (enough said); Cheryl, the promiscuous popular-girl about whom we know nothing (but we're supposed to feel sorry that she's dead); and a couple of other cookie-cutter characters. There's potential in the story, and at times it's well-written, but the author is obviously going for sex, scandal, etc. The resolution of the crime doesn't feel natural and isn't satisfying because it comes from nowhere, and there are one or two scenes that seem to exist solely for the purpose of being sexy. It's worth reading if it's lying around and there's nothing else better, but I wouldn't pay money for it.
Rating: Summary: Needs a sequel.... Review: I agree that a sequel is definitely in order for this book. The characters and story were magnificent, but the ending definitely left you wanting to know more about how Terry and Chris' lives progressed. For the first time while reading the books in this series, I didn't want more about Peter and Rina, I wanted more about the other characters.
Rating: Summary: Faye really shines with "Justice"! Review: I am in total agreement with Steve below. I've read all Faye's books and this is one of my favorites. If you haven't read the series you won't be able to appreciate the creative extension Faye took on this effort. So, start over with Ritual Bath and go through the series. Including Terry's perspective was a new and successful angle for the author. The book was riveting and the characters fascinating. The sexual explicity was perfectly acceptable, and enjoyable; after all, these books aren't written for kids. Faye, give us more!
Rating: Summary: Please, please, please a sequel Review: I couldn't put the book down. I started reading Faye Kellerman's books with her first, Ritual Bath, and have progressed up to Justice. This was by far my favorite book. I wanted to read it again when I was done. I really liked Kellerman's different writing style in this book with Terry's thoughts and storytelling. This book NEEDS to have a sequel. There are too many loose ends. I can't wait to read what happens when Terry and Chris meet again.
Rating: Summary: WOW Review: I couldn't put this book down read it from cover to cover in less then 24 hours!! Book kept me second guessing from the start. Just when you "think" you have it figured out more evidence is found. Would love to see a sequal to this book. Can't wait to read more from Faye Kellerman! WOW what a Book!!!
