Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I am not Review: I do not know if this is her best Amelia Peabody mysteries, but it is certainly one of the most satisfying, especially after the rather dark conclusion of her previous book, The Falcon at the Portal. Without giving anything away, this book wraps up a number of loose ends concerning Amelia, Emerson, Ramese, Nefret, Percy and yes, even Sethos. It is well worth the read. My only caution is do not come within 100 pages of its conclusion late in the night because you will inevitably stay up to finish it.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: More Amelia Review: My friends and I think this book was riveting, although all of the Ameila series are wonderful. It's is nice to read a "modern" writer and have to use a dictionary upon occasion. It's also great to have a real sentence structure of muliples clauses and phrases instead of short, choppy sentences. As this book didn't leave a trailer for the next one, we are hoping that in 2 years, preferably sooner, another will be out?
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best one yet! Review: How can Elizabeth Peters- Amelia Peabody series keep getting better? The depth, the humor, and the adventure of this series simply can't compare to any other.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Couldn't put it down! Review: After being so disappointed with the previous two Amelia books, I didn't read this one right away. It lay untouched for weeks because I was afraid of another big disappointment. I finally decided that I should read it and I could not put it down! If I could write a book, this would be it. It was so wonderful to read this book. This book has a much happier tone to it and leaves the reader feeling warm and good. It has lots of surprises and many questions are answered. There is also closure to many disturbing issues that were presented in the last few books. Amelia is more like her old self. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the fact that Amelia and Emerson seem to be handing over the stage to Ramses and Nefret. I am of the same opinion of the reviewer who wrote "Still my favorite series, but I miss the books where impetuous Ramses would entertain you with pages of polysyballic prose. I'd like to see new books fill in some of the gaps in the chronology, but if not, I can always start at the beginning and reread them!" This is a magnificent book, though!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Peabody back on track and better than ever! Review: It was delightful to find the Emersons, their extented family and their friends and enemies all behaving in a normal manner once again. After Falcon at the Portal I wasn't sure I wanted to read another. The characters acted so out of character that I was depressed for days. But this installment is witty and entertaining. The adventures kept me on the edge of my chair. Danger lurks around every corner. The war provides an interesting backdrop for the events which disrupt the digging season. Romance is in the air providing more twists and turns than a Shakespearean comedy. And it is so delightful to imagine what goes on after the door is locked and Emerson seeks to distract his Peabody. In the end Ms Peters ties all the plots together in a superb finish. It is sad to have to say goodbye to some of the recurring characters but I have no fear that they will be replaced by exciting new ones in the next volume Ms Peters does spend many words trying to justify the events of the last book. While I still have some doubts it does help to tie up lose ends. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves good mysteries, heroic men and strong women
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: He Shall Thunder in the Sky Review: I loved the book. Elizabeth Peters has once again held my interest to the last page. She ties up some loose ends that she left hanging in the previous two books and keeps you thoroughly entertained while doing so. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone: it has strong women, strong men, archaeology, and enough throroughly vile villains to satisfy anyone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Outstanding - Wonderful - Fantastic........! Review: I really don't think I have to say more. Elizabeth Peters has done a wonderful job with He Shall Thunder in the Sky. I just hope with all of the closures she will not stop writing about the Emerson family. After all of these books, the characters have become like family. We have watched Ramses grow from being an irritating brat to a very handsome, sexy, appealing man - just like his father. It would be very hard to let them go at this point and not know what happens further with their lives. Again, this book was the ultimate in fantastic. Congratulations, Ms. Peters and thank you.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Heroism, History, and a Happy Ending Review: HE SHALL THUNDER starts about 3 years after the end of FALCON AT THE PORTAL, but compensates for the missing years with its complex story, historical accuracy, and satisfying character development. If, like me, you were distraught at the ending of FALCON, be assured that HE SHALL THUNDER more than makes up for it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best to date! Review: After Falcon at the Portal I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue the series and was really glad I did. This did not disappoint. The outcome is what we all have dreamed. I can't wait for the next one.
