Rating: Summary: This is the best Tami Hoag book I have read! Review: I have read four of her novels, and by far, Dark Paradise is the best! I had a real sense how everyone in New Eden felt with the outsiders moving in, how humiliating it was for Bill to live his life the way he did, and especially the chemistry between Mari and J.D.! Her descriptions of Montana were breathtaking! She let the readers feel as if we were right there on the deck with Mari or the Stars and Bars with J.D., viewing what must surely be a piece of Heaven. I am anxiously waiting for her new book to be published, but would love to hear more of Mari and J.D.
Rating: Summary: I absolutly loved this book! It was great. Review: I have read all of Tami Hoag's books and this one along with Lucky's Lady are my favorites. Her other thriller/mystery books have had a tendency to drag on and become boring, but not this one. I found her blend of sexual tension between characters and witty dialouge to be greatly enjoyable. I also thought that her characters were well rounded. They had insecurities like everyone else that made them more believeable. I would recomend this book to anyone looking to escape for awile.
Rating: Summary: Murder mystrey, I don't think so. Review: This was my first time of reading a Tami Hoag book and I was extremly disappointed. She spent more time talking about JD and Marliee's sexual attraction to one another than actually getting to the point (which was why was Lucy killed and who killed her?). Once in awhile I actually thought YES! this is getting better but then this feeling never seemed to last. The reason for Lucy's death I felt was so lame - I was expecting something sinster but as usal I was let down. In short I found the book extremly boring when compared to other crime/mystrey novels I have read. It was more of a romantic novel than murder mystrey. I will definetly not be reading anymore of her books.
Rating: Summary: I loved it! Review: As someone who rarely gets the luxury of sitting down to read, I have to say that I was very thankful that this book was so great! I started it while on vacation, and couldn't put it down. Tami did a great job describing everything! Please do another book with Marilee and J.D., I want to hear more! Before I drove home from vacation, I drove to Waldenbooks for 2 more of her books!
Rating: Summary: I enjoyed book thoroughly!!!!!! Review: I have read all of Tami Hoags' other mysteries and enjoyed everyone of them. Some I found a bit too lengthy in description, but I really enjoyed this book because it was a nice relaxing 'easy' read. Perfect for an airplane ride. I think she has wonderful talent, and truly believable characters. I must confess, I hope I hear more about Marilee and J.D. in the future. Her description of Montana took you there, and she was right on target with the small town outlook on life.
Rating: Summary: Is this a suspense novel?? Review: I've read other books by Tami Hoag and enjoyed most, but I found this one boring. I actually put this one aside for a few weeks and read other books before getting back to this one. The characters in the book didn't keep my attention and I truly didn't care less if they survied. I will keep reading Tami, but this was a disappointment.
Rating: Summary: By far the best book I have every read - Right up my alley Review: This book is not only well written, but extremely entertaining. It a book you won't be able to put down. Ms. Hoag's descriptive abilities are the best I've read. I could almost feel the Montana sun on my face. I spend several hours reading different types of books. This one by far is the best. I loaned this book to a friend and it has been lost. Therefore, I had to buy it again just to have it in my collection. AWESOME BOOK
Rating: Summary: Favorite book of all time Review: I absolutely loved the dark, evil depths of this great book. Just a note this book was written BEFORE Night Sins and Guilty as Sin. I hope readers do a little more investigative work before they put down a novel for not fitting into their preferences. This book was written when Tami was going from straight romance to romantic suspense and therefore there was more romance than her latest novels. I just loved the mix between a deep thriller (a lot more evil than some other "true mysteries") and the great romance. Keep up the good work in whatever genre you decide to follow. I love them all!!
Rating: Summary: A Murder-Mystery-Romance you do not want to miss! Review: Marilee travels to Montana to meet up with a long time friend, only to find she died (actually killed).Immediately she is thrown into the realms of fearful experiences including the arms of J. D. Rafferty. The story is full of sexual tension, romance, mystery, and some humor (such as her first conversation with Will). The heroine is believable and the hero is captivating. Like Nora said in the story "They don't make men like that anymore" (p.37).
Rating: Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed this book Review: This was the first Tami Hoag book I have read but was pleasantly surprised with it. I thought all the characters were very believable, and the plot extremely suspensful I could't put it down. The one thing that bothered me throughout the book though was that it took an awfully long time for her to become suspicious about Lucy's house being ramsacked. Also I could of done without all the constant references to her hair. I think that was a little overdone. But overall it was highly entertaining and suspensful. I will read more of Tami Hoag!
