Summary: IT WENT ON, ON, AND ON
Review: I'm a avid reader of Tami Hoag's books. Although they tend to be long, their great with all the twists and turns. Dark Paradise seems to deviate off the course that I started asking myself where is the mystery here. It could have been better. I hate it when women writer seem to say that its okay when a men treats a woman badly because he's afraid of the commitment of loving her and bec'she loves him she'll take it. That's bull. I was disappointed in the character Samantha. (no redemption there) However, Tami Hoag does redeem herself with her other books. I finished reading it, to see if I was right as to who killed her friend. I was.

Summary: Five stars all the way
Review: I could not put this book down once I started it! I am a huge Tami Hoag fan, and I believe this book is my absolute favorite! I loved all the characters...especially her cowboy enemy/lover!

Summary: A long, long book I struggled to finish
Review: I am a fan of Tami Hoag and find myself very disappointed with this effort. It could use some editing and trimming, at least 150 pages worth! It seemed to me as if the two central romantic characters said and did the same things over and over again. And most of it was focused on the sex and sexual tension between them, which quite frankly got stale after a while. Focus on the mystery, the thriller...if I want romance, I'll read a Harlequin. Oh, and the thing that really bugged me? She referred to Samantha's car at least 4 times as a red "Camero." Is that a new car or does she mean the Chevy CamAro?

Summary: A suspensful mystery
Review: The novel Dark Paradise is one of those books that you just can't put down. It has suspense that keeps you on the edge until the final sentence. The book is about a small city called New Eden, Montana where a woman dies in her own private hell. It is up to her best friend to figure out the chilling mystery of her death, but what she doesn't know is that someone is after her with secrets worth killing for. I recommend this novel to anyone who likes a mystery.

Summary: Great book --- wonderful romantic mystery
Review: This was the 1st Tami Hoag book I've read. I was impressed by her great/unique story line, the characters and her overall writing. This book reminds me of writing style of Nora Roberts, Linda Howard, Elizabeth Lowell.

I loved the interchange between Marilee & JD; their witty arguments, sarcastic remarks...sort of like to the exchanges between Cybil Sheppard & Bruce Willis during "Moonlighting".

I'm a Tami Hoag fan now.

Summary: I loved this book!
Review: This is one of the best hooks I've seen for grabbing a reader's interest from the get-go! Who can't smell the fear, feel the thudding heartbeat, and feel the character's exhaustion at the opening scene of this book? I was hooked right away and could not put this book down.

J.D. I swear I knew and bravo for Merilee being the one to tame him! (Wish it were ME!)

The passion was hot and sizzled - right on the edge.

I've read quite a bit of Tami Hoag's work, but this remains one of my all-time favorites. This isn't some laid back kind of read - it snaps. You can't help but stay awake, waiting for more!

Summary: Too much romance and sex
Review: I loved Tami Hoag's Ashes to Ashes and a Thin Dark Line, but this book was nothing like those two. This one is all about sex and romance with a tiny bit of murder. I read this book just so I could finish it, now I can get onto reading better mystery/crime novels. If you like crime, suspense and mystery (Cornwell, Reichs, Hoag after 1997) then give this a big MISS!

Summary: Good Beach Reading!
Review: I do not normally read romance novels but was loaned this oneby a friend to read on my beach vacation. I was pleasantly suprised.Great literature it's not - but it's not trying to be, either. It was a fun read - sexy and a page-turner. Hoag spent just a little too much time focusing on the main character's confused feelings about the love interest. I was impressed with the number of different characters and plot lines all coming together at the end. A fun book - I'm looking at reviews of her others for weekend reading!

Summary: A must read suspense novel!
Review: This was a great novel to read. I expected nothing, but the best from Tami Hoag, and that is what I got. If you enjoy reading suspense, nurder, romance, and evil intent all rolled into one, then this is the book for you. The reader is kept in suspense and suspicion while traveling down a roller coaster of twists and turns. Fasten your seatbelt and hold on.

Summary: From the first page, I couldn't put this book down!
Review: This is my first Tami Hoag book. She is a master at hooking her readers. She used fasinating threads of culture, conflict and love to weave the reader toward her complex plot. The love story was as complicated and surreal as we find in real life. What a relief not to be sickened by unrealistic love scenes and dialogue that would never come out of a guys mouth. I look forward to reading many more of Tami Haog's books.
