Rating: Summary: Daddy's Little Girl Review: If you are someone that is into murders and mysterys, my guess would be that you would really enjoy reading this book. It is about this young girl, Ellie, who's sister is murdered when she was little. A boy is convicted of this murder and is sentenced to jail. When Ellie gets older the murderer is wanting parole. Ellie goes on her own investigation to make sure that the man who killed her older sister is not released into the world.During this book Ellie finds new things that the detectives did not pick up on during the actual investigation. She finds new evidence and possibly new crimes that this man has commited. She is determined to keep this man in jail no matter what the cost. Even if she ends up in danger, which she just may. I think Mary Higgins Clark is a very good writer. She did a very good job writing this book and I'm sure most people would enjoy reading it. The real truth doesn't come out until the very end and she keeps you interested throughout the entire book. It's a book you don't want to put down because you want to see what happens in the end. She is a wonderful author and it's a great book.
Rating: Summary: Mystery Killer Review: I read the book "Daddy's Little Girl" by Mary Higgins Clark. The genre of the book is horror/mystery. The reason I read the book was because I've read two other books by Mary Higgins Clark and I really like her writing style. My book is about a little girl whose sister gets murdered and she has to testify to send a man to jail. When the little girl grows up she has to face the man she sent to jail 23 years ago to prevent him from getting out of jail early. The more research the girl does on her sister's murder the more facts she uncovers to lead her to the real killer. Whether it's a close friend, a perverted old man, or the man she sent to jail originally. This book was very interesting and entertaining to me. I love all of her books because they are suspenseful and intriguing. You want to keep reading to find out what happens next. There are also many twists in the book, which confuse you and lead you to think different things. This book affected me by making me appreciate my family more. After the girl's sister got murdered her parents also split up. I feel lucky that nothing like that happened in my family. I think that this book was very good and I suggest reading it if you like horrors or mysteries. Some advice I have for readers is to take a break every once in a while and think about what happened so you won't get confused and you'll understand it easier. N.S.
Rating: Summary: Daddy's Little Girl Review: I really like all of the Mary Higgins Clark books I have read so far. She really keeps you hooked on what you're reading. I really enjoyed Daddy's Little Girl because I was glued to it throughout the entire book. I really like how she saves the answer to the murder until the very end of the book. So you never know for sure who really murderd her older sister. And that she has exciting things happen to the characters in the middle. She doesn't let you get bored while your reading this book. This was probably one of my favorite ones that I have read so far. I really enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: Daddy's Little Girl Review: Mary Higgins Clark is a superb writer. This title was the best of all her books. It kept me on the edge of my seat until I had finished it. Thankfully, I was on vacation and had time to read it in one sitting because I could not put it down. Mary Higgins Clark writes a story of intrigue and one that holds the reader's interest without any of the risque language and happenings of so many writers of today.
Rating: Summary: Awesome!~!~! Review: I read this book in the summer of 2002! I was really bored and Ive always had a high reading level for my age (which was 12 at the time)and I HAD to read something over the summer or I would've been bored for 10 weeks. So i did a search on the internet for suspense/mystery books because thats what interests me, and there it was "Daddy's Little Girl". I read it in like 3 weeks, it was that good. Usually it would take me all summer to read a book that long. I really loved it and that's when I got interested in Mary Higging Clark's books. This summer though (2003) my mom bought me her new book "The Second Time Around" and I read that in the one week I was on vacation in Nevada! I am reading it again right now! I must say, Mary Higgins Clark is by far one of my favorite authors!
Rating: Summary: The queen of suspense does it again Review: Mary Higgins clark is a good writer! But this is by far one of the best books I've ever read by her! She uses suspense thats almost spellbinding! She doesn't even use much romance in this book! if you love suspense this is a must read!
Rating: Summary: Excellent!! I LUV IT!!!! Review: Daddy's Little Girl is my favorite book! It is so good I couldn't put it down. I justed loved it so much!
Rating: Summary: Shouldn't suspense novels have suspense? Review: This book was a major disappointment. First Rob, who was the prime suspect for the murder, turned out to be the murderer! That's bad enough but throughout the whole book, he's the ONLY suspect. Nobody even entertains the possibility that someone else could be the murderer! What's so suspenseful about that? I mean, if Rob was a suspect and they figured out that someone else was the killer, or even if Rob was cleared and we found out that hey he was the murderer after all, that might have been interesting. But not this. Then there are the other "suspects". There's that mysterious salesman that was around the time of the murder. Clark gives this piece of information and then does absolutely nothing with it. It sounds as if the police make little to no effort to find this guy. And of course there's Paul. I don't get what Clark was trying to do with this character. He's never a very bright guy, but one minute it's just like, he's probably not going to get into college anytime soon, and the next he's 3 IQ points away from being mentally challenged and the big bad Rob is taking advantage of Paul the feeb. And was anyone else expecting something different from the title "Daddy's Little Girl"? When I first picked up this book, I thought it might have been possible that there was something going on between "Daddy" and Andrea. That would have been a lot more interesting than what Clark wrote. All in all, I had a lot of ideas about what was going to happen in this book, and it turns out the reality was way less than what I expected.
Rating: Summary: Another hit by Mary Higgins Clark! Review: I have been reading books by Mary Higgins Clark for over 10 years now and I have never been disappointed. She is an amazing writer with a talent that is surpassed by few others. I could not put this book down. The characters were real, the plot was interesting and the end was gripping. Make yourself a cup of tea, get comfortable on your couch and relax. You will be entertained by this book.
Rating: Summary: My book task review Review: I thought that this was a pretty cool book. It was mostly mystery but there was suspense and drama and stuff in the book. Some parts of the book gave me the chills. The book was also interesting like how the sister tried her whole life proving that the person she most suspected of killing her sister really was the killer but nobody believed her at first. This book taught me to tell my parents if my sisters are doing something there not suppose to because maybe I will save a life or something I don't know. I would encourage everybody to read this book because it will really teach you something and even send chills down your spine. That's why I am giving this book 4 stars.
