Summary: Gun Bureaucrat's motives finally in print
Review: One of the most riviting books I've ever read!

The story line of this book follows the progressive repression of the main characters by a monolithic gun-shy bureaucracy. At the heart of the bureaucracy's motivation for repressive law is the percieved "fear" of the many Henry Bowmans of the nation.

The stark irony in this book is that the fear the bureaucrats have of the nation's Henry Bowmans was unfounded as the Bowmans of the nation were never a formative enemy of the state until the state aroused a nation of H.Bowmans with repressive laws. The state, in effect, created the thing they most feared: angry, principled, motivated rebels. The message to the anti-gun bureaucrats is; "leave us Henry Bowmans alone. We are not a problem........but we can be if we are not left alone"

This should be a must read for all anti gun bureaucratic types. They deseve the nightmares this book will undoubtedly give them

Summary: Manditory reading for EVERY American!
Review: This book was a real eye opener. I haven't read a book of fiction over 200 pages in over 10 years and sailed through the 861 pages in a few days.

As a veteran, I am shocked at how brainwashed I was towards the militias and others who were labeled "anti-government" by the government and press. It is appalling to know what Eisenhower, Patton and MacArthur did to fellow veterans in 1932. I thought I was reading fiction until I checked it out over the net. I remember how the government/press made the Weavers out to be radicals and Mr. Ross clears that up superbly. I'm embarrassed that I didn't catch on when it happened. My eyes are opened and we have a real problem in our country folks.

Read this book, buy extra copies and hand em' out. If it was feasible, I would hand them out for free on a street corner. Every freedom loving American has to read this book! After reading this book, I'm almost afraid to write this review in fear of an BATF break in!

To bad Hollywood would never touch this (for obvious reasons). It would make a great movie.

Great job Mr. Ross, Thanks for the revelation!

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read.
Review: Unintended Consequences is without a doubt one of the best books I have ever read. It crystalized many vague feelings and suspicions I've had for a long time. I used to be in favor of some "limited" gun control. Now I am a hard core gun rights advocate. No compromise and no give. We need to dismantle the unconstitutional laws that have been passed. I can only hope that enough people get the message and respond appropriately before it is too late. Hats off to John Ross. I find everything in his book highly plausible.

Summary: A thought provoking look at the decline of individual rights
Review: As an avid member of the "gun culture", who has been witnessing the steady decline of our individual rights relating to firearms, I was intrigued by this novel. Loaded with factual data relating to actual events and policies, as well as a large amount of very interesting gun discussions, this book grabs your attention from the start.

I was particularly interested in the portrayal of the Bureau of Alchahol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF), as I have long held the notion that this agency was unconstitutional from the word "GO". John Ross has done a remarkable job authoring a fictional novel, complete with good character development and plot lines, that opens our eyes to what is happening to our society.

Summary: I read this book instead of my text books for my major!
Review: I don't know where to began. I want to change my major now that I finished Ross' book! I think I want to be a history teacher instead of a computer programer! The story of the Jewish persecution is what I remember my aunt and uncle talking about all the time. I did reserch of my own and Mr. Ross knows his history! The story of what our own Goverment did to our own troops at the end of WW 1 is also very disturbing... and also very true. I recommend this book for anyone interested in U.S. History as this is as accurate as it can get in regards to history repeating itself.

Summary: We threw the TORRIES out in 1776 and they are back.
Review: This is an extremly powerful book and just strikes at the heart of what is wrong with this country now. I urge any citizen to read it before your freedom to read it is usurped, as so many freedoms have been. Thomas Jefferson would be aghast if he were to read this book and find that much of it is fact not fiction.

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read
Review: UC will join thr ranks of Uncle Toms Cabin and Atlas Shrugged as one of the most powerful, moving books ever written. Even if you are not a gun onwer, you still feel the frustration and anger gun onwers do faced with loss of their rights and freedoms.

Summary: Amazing, Exciting and Revolutionary!
Review: This one of the best books I have ever read. Thoughtful insightful fiction based wholly on factual information. I'll be sitting right there with you Henry!

Summary: I normally do not read but I could not put the book down
Review: Once I started reading I could not put the book down. The begining history was wonderful and the plot later on held me on to read more. I would love to read more books like this one.

Summary: The Truth in Black and White
Review: As most of the other reviewers have stated, this book is a "must read" for anyone who values Man's true freedoms and their enumeration in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The left wing, mainstream media will do all it can to suppress this book in the future, redoubling their efforts to date; you should get a one or several copies while you can. (Unmentioned in this book are recent court cases attempting to limit the publication of certain books in the U.S.) As the few negative reviews show, liberals will use insults instead of facts to minimize Ross' message and inveigle the masses. While the book lacks the flourish of a classic novel, the facts and action are riveting and the conclusions are irrefutible. It is time for America to wake up and demand the rights that are ours as human beings. No matter the popularity of this book, you will NEVER see it as a movie. When the time comes, I'll be with you, John Ross! "He who would give up a little freedom for a little security deserves neither." - Ben Franklin
