Summary: Pretty good...But Lescroart can do better
Review: This book was pretty good, but the first half was very SLOW. I didn't get into it until Sheila Dooher was killed---even then I had a hard time believing Mark Dooher could be so two faced. Lescroart did not develop Mark's character well enough to the point where the reader could understand his *dark* side. Nor did he explain why *having* Christina Carrera was so important. I suppose the story does bring up the question, do we really know anyone? Is anyone really who they say they are? I still think the 13th Juror is Lescroart's best work. That is a novel that is truly shocking! I would suggest the 13th Juror over Guilt any day.

Summary: A tour-de-force legal thriller
Review: This is his best book yet. The characters are fascinating and so alive they breathe. The plot keeps you guessing and ultimately delivers a satisfying, surprising, and exciting ending. And it really is about guilt, in all its many manifestations. This is no fast-food junk read, although there are plenty of thrills. This is a feast for the mind, spirit, and visceral body. Buy it. Read it. You'll thank me

Summary: This one will keep you from getting any work done!
Review: This is my first book to read by this author, and I thought it was great! I just kept waiting and waiting for Mark to get caught, and he didn't, for the longest time. I loved the ending, and now I will definitely read A Certain Justice, to find out about Mark's whole story.
