Summary: Explosive Beginning!
Review: "Thief of Hearts" (first installment of this series) was an explosive start to what promises to be an exciting soap. Loads of characters both good and bad and a plot that leaves the reader longing to read more. All the markings of a fun soap opera-type story line. Now, on to the next installment!

Summary: I like a good soap opera as much as the next person, but...
Review: I like a good soap opera as much as the next person, but this one fell flat.

After reading so many positive reviews of Victoria Taylor Murray's Lambert series, I took the plunge and tracked down a copy of Thief of Hearts. What a disappointment it turned out to be. It probably is the worst book I have ever read.

As several other reviewers have pointed out, the book could have been greatly improved by a good editor. The spelling errors start in the first paragraph and simply never let up; the same can be said for the punctuation errors. When I read "his heart broke into", I honestly wondered for a second what his heart had broken into until I realized Murray meant to say his heart broke in two. She uses words she doesn't seem to understand fully. She slips in and out of tenses for no good reason. They are small mistakes, but when similar mistakes occur constantly, on every single page, well, it doesn't make for an enjoyable reading experience.

The characters were completely unbelievable and unlikable. I certainly didn't care what happened to any of them. The plot failed to interest me both as a suspense and as a romance. The sex scenes just weren't sexy. Occasionally, one of her more glaring errors or her purple prose would make me laugh out loud, which probably isn't the sort of reaction the author was shooting for.

It was just a terrible, terrible book, and not fun to read at all. I honestly think the average fifth grader could write better than this.

I was immediately pulled into the story once i began reading the novel. the characters are plausable and interesting and i couldn't wait to continue my journey with nouri as i waited for each book to arrive from amazon. my favorite book in the series was the last book but i thought all four were fun.

Summary: A new writer I look forward to reading more of!
Review: Victoria Murray has become a writer that I look forward to reading more of. I enjoyed her 4 book Lambert series very much. I thought the characters were quite colorful and the cliff-hanging plot had me eagerly flipping through the pages of all 4 books. I thought her romantic mystery series was a lot of fun.

Summary: Victoria Taylor Murray Reigns Supreme!
Review: Just finished "Thief of Hearts", book one in the Lambert series by Victoria Taylor Murray and cannot wait to read the remaining three. This author is the best at romantic suspense, not to mention erotica. Fabulous book!

Summary: Entertaining to the nth degree
Review: Author Victoria Taylor Murray knows how to give her readers a really good time. The book is fun to read, full of diverse characters, some truly evil, has a great plot going, and kept me entertained throughout. Cannot wait to start on #2 in the series.

Summary: true to this genre,
Review: i thought the beginning installment to ms. murray's lambert series was true to the romantic drama genre. i enjoyed the characters and the seductive way this writer pulled me into her captivating storyline right from the start. since toh i have read this series through to the end and i enjoyed it. i thought the editing could have been a little better, i found a few spots were a little difficult to get through in the first book but the remaining three books were much better in that department. even so i thought overall the lambert series rocked! big time!

Summary: Great Beginning
Review: What more can you ask for from a book? Characters galore, some you like and some you love to hate, plenty of hot romance, a lot of suspense, and a mystery that takes 4 books to unravel.

I can't wait to finish this series. What a great TV series this would be!

Summary: Suspense, Compelling & Passionate,
Review: Like most other people that have read this book, I, too, had a good time and quickly ordered the remaining three in the series. I agree with most of the reviews of this series in its entirety, the action is nonstop and the plot only gets better and better. Ms. Murray has become a writer that I will look for everytime I go to buy a new book! I'm a new fan!

Summary: Ethan Sommers is a character most people will love to,
Review: I loved the characters in this fun soap saga. The billionaire businessman Ethan Sommers is the most fun. A character that I loved hating! What an A------! I was drawn into the story line right from the start of this new series and I was captivated until the final page. Getting to know the characters of any story is part of the fun for me. In TOH I'm having such a fun time doing just that! Clint Chamberlain high priced attorney for Ethan Sommers and former lover to Nouri Sommers the billionaire's young beautiful wife, is one of my favorite characters. As for Nouri Sommers, she is someone that most people will fall in love with. I have since read all the fun books in the Lambert series and would like to say that on a whole I found it to be a lot of fun. I really enjoyed myself sneaking a peep inside someone else's life for a few short hours each day. This series was written for fun that much is obvious so if you are an uptight reader (jerk) that enjoys finding fault with a new writer then this writer's books are not the book(s) for you. Just keep on trucking to someother product page! I think anyone who has nothing better to do than go around slamming the hard work of writer's should be taken out an shot! My advice for the creeps in the world...Get a life and leave others lives alone! A few insecure writers that I know on a personal level are so obsessed with this new writer and her successful new series that if it wasn't so pathetic it would be funny. They are the ones always posting the bogus negetive reviews of this book and the books of other writers. Amazon knows this and that is why those reviews are for the most part removed from the site both of this book as well as others. My suggestion to those few jerks stop obsessing, get over yourself and try writing another book with all that wasted energy! Just a thought!
