Rating: Summary: Hearfelt, Touching, Memorable...Nice Job! Review: Thief of Hearts by writer Murray is a heartfelt, touching, and most memorable story about one week in the life of a young woman from Boston, that jumped into a fary tale marriage with a wealth businessman, only to suddenly discover she married a man of mystery and intrigue, with a past he doesn't want her to know about.I felt the sadness of the young beautiful woman, the loneliness, and the lack of passion she suddenly finds herself facing because of negelect from her wealthy husband. The story was moving and at times quite passionate. I enjoyed the first book in this writer's Lambert series and I look forward to reading book 2 with excitment.
Rating: Summary: A great weekend read! Review: I purchased this book to take with me on my vacation. This year was my firstime going on a luxury liner. "The Love Boat" is what I kept refering to it as each morning that I tried to get out of bed. Sadly, I was not able to do a lot on board as I kept getting sea sick. Thank God, I had the good sense to take an entertaining book along! "Thief of Hearts" by Victoria Murray is an engaging story that keep me interested from the very moment I opened the book. It was easy on the old blinkers and surprisingly quick to read. As a matter of fact, I read it twice before returning home from my vacation. I liked the fun characters, and I loved the thrilling suspense. My favorite in this type of book. Action, romance, and excitement is what this book is about! I know you are going to have as much fun reading this story as I did!
Rating: Summary: Could/Should Have Been Longer...But??? Review: A Story That I Really Liked! "Thief of Hearts" by Victoria Murray was a nice beginning to what appears to be an entertaining four volume series. I read for the fun of it. Mostly on lazy afternoons and rainy stay-at-home evenings. "Thief of Hearts" was the perfect book for my needs. My biggest complaint (and it isn't a complaint not really) was that this book was more like a Novella. Just as I was really starting to enjoy myself the book ended causing me duress, I was that involved with the storyline...But after a few "Hail Marys" I was okay again. I quickly clicked on Amazon.com and ordered "Forbidden" book-two of Ms. Murray's Lambert Series. I have since read book two "Forbidden" and I would like to say I was not disappointed. It too, was a compelling story loaded with humor, seduction, betrayal and suspense, as the one earth-shattering week in the life of Nouri St' Charles Sommers continues to be played out. I am eagerly anticipating book three "Friendly Enemies." I just hope this author's publishers don't make me wait another year like they did with book-two! The new writer of this series seems to improve with each book she writes. I have little doubt she will do very well in the publishing business. In my opinion; Victoria Murray is sort-of a diamond in the rough!
Rating: Summary: It Did Not Steal My Heart Review: I must admit that I was let down after reading all of the other raving reviews. The book was difficult or a bit rough to read. In several areas there were typos or just no direction and as a result I had a hard time determining whether it was a narration or a character speaking. Plus there were a couple of areas that just did not flow real well. It was like the author was jumping around or lost focus about what she was writting about. The plot was good and had great potential and there was a deal of suspense but unfortunatly the hard spots made it difficult to follow. If you are willing to overlook these items then by all means purchase the book. This author has potential and I hope that she lives up to this potential in the following books.
Rating: Summary: FUN, EXCITING,HOT!! Review: I really liked this book. It has a very interesting plot no one is as they seem, everyone is cheating on everyone and everyone has secret passions that are DEMANDING to be met. The characters are all interesting and well developed and the author has you guessing whats going to happen next? throughout the whole book...right to the very last page. I cant wait to read forbidden, I hope it is as enjoyable as this one was. The only reason i gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 was because the dialogue was rather flat, the same words being repeated and people always addressing other people with their names, throughout a whole conversation, got a little annoying. Also the fact that every man in the whole world seems to be in love with Nouri, Its like shes some sort of goddess or something..i can overlook those things because as I said I did really like the book. It was fun to read and full of suspense & romance a very thrilling combination!
Rating: Summary: Dynasty on Speed Review: This is what the super rich do when they arn't doing business and arn't in control of their jealosy, greed, morals, and self endulgances. All making for characters so interesting in their dialogue and thinking that you feel like the characters should be named Burton, Taylor, Sinatra, and Gardner. Just think of them when you wonder if this book's characters are too outrageous and out of control to be believed. When money is no object the id has the freedom to take over, as it has done with these characters, making them so intense in their actions the page turning becomes almost hynotic. Victoria Taylor Murray has really gotten into the minds of her characters and with the author's beautiful face gracing the back cover, you feel like maybe you're reading excerpts from her fantasy diary, making everything in the book more urgent and realistic while mentally casting her in the part of the lead character. For those who like erotic thrillers with bite this is the one.
Rating: Summary: A breathtaking romantic mystery from beginning to end! Review: "Thief of Hearts" by Victoria Murray was a breathtaking romantic mystery from beginning to end. The beginning in a series of four novels that provides the readers with plenty of passion and romance, betrayal, revenge, and an uncertain tomorrow for lead character Nouri Sommers -- A young woman that is about to give new meaning the the prase "A Week From Hell!" The action is well-thought out, the chemistry between characters moving and at times quite passionate, the suspense kept me excitedly turning the pages, and curiousity (the need to know what happens next in this intriguing series) made me anxious to continue the Lambert saga with book-two "Forbidden." A definate trip to a paradise island I know other readers will enjoy!
