Summary: Wow! That Sums It Up!
Review: This is my first Tami Hoag book, and believe me, it won't be my last. Ashes to Ashes is about a serial killer that the press has named "The Cremator", because he sets his victims on fire. After a teenage girl, named Angie witnesses the "Cremator" as he burnes one of his victims, in comes Kate Conlan of the victims unit. She tries to help Angie tell what she saw, but she is to scared to talk about it. When the police find out that one of the victims is the daughter of a local billionaire, John Quinn of the FBI is brought in. John and Kate have a past together and this brings them back together after 5 years. Ashes to Ashes had me changing my mind every chapter about who I thought the "Cremator" was. There was always something new popping up that would make me have to continue reading to find out what it was. Believe me this book is a good one that will keep you up well past bedtime! Now I have to rush out and buy more Tami Hoag books!

Summary: Nothing Out of the Ordinary
Review: Deciding to take a break with some "escapist" fiction, I decided to read Ashes to Ashes based on my previous experience with the author's books. The story of a serial murderer and the hunt for the killer was interesting but written like hundreds of others. The main characters, Kate Conlan a victims advocate and John Quinn, an FBI profiler, were somewhat poorly fleshed out. I kept thinking that maybe they were featured in a previous book and this book was the second in a series. Other supporting characters, such as the various police detectives assigned to the case were more interesting. Overall, a quick read with a surprise ending (I must admit I had no idea who the killer was until the very end).

Summary: Not for the faint at heart
Review: Taking a break from my regular romances, I decided to read the newest Tami Hoag novel, Ashes to Ashes. I absolutly loved it.

Tami Hoag's newest novel is a great thriller in it's own right. This book is thriller first, romance secondary, so all you men out there don't shy away. This book was excellent!

As with her previous novels, Night Sins and Guilty as Sin, this novel has so many twists and turns you feel like you're on a roller coaster. Victim Advocate Kate Conlan and Top FBI Profiler John Quinn create a wonderful couple finding love again and caught in a terrible triangle of madness.

If you're faint at heart, I wouldn't recommend this book. But if you love a good thriller, this book is a MUST READ!

Summary: Almost had me
Review: I read a few reviews and thought the book sound interesting. And then I read it. I must admit the end surprised me but not big time. Not enough detail and I never quite felt any compassion for the victims. The author did not build up any real anxiety leading to the deaths and therefore I was never really scared. I will not give up just yet though Id like to read her work again and with that I guess the author suceeded in her biggest goal. She now has another fan.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: As someone who has read all of Tami Hoag's books, this one is the worst. I was very disappointed. Reading this book rates right up there with being in the dentist's chair. The only thing that kept me from finishing this was a determination to do so. She spends so much time on the police and their lives that you never really know much about the criminal. Would not recommend!

Summary: VIOLENT, GRAPIC, EDGE OF YOUR SEAT
Review: This is my first Tami Hoag book, and in fact it is my first proper thriller book but I found it brilliant. I thought that the last few paragraphs were a bit too violent and graphic for my liking but all the same this book has encouraged me to read more of her books. Make sure you've got all the doors and windows locked when reading this one!

Summary: Ashes to Ashes
Review: A little dissapointing from her previous work. She has done better.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I found the book very disappointing compared with other books by the same author. The characters were ill defined, you were never sure whether a character was male or female. The plot jumped around without definition ie it moved to different scenes without this being very clear to the reader.

Summary: Disappointing!
Review: I have read other books by this author and loved them but was very disappointed this time. Couldn't get into the book--didn't even finish it. Not as captivating nor are the characters as 3-D as usual. I don't usually mind violence (Really liked Jeffrey Deaver's "Bone Collector") but this was too violent with little heart. Hope her next one is better.

Summary: Good, but different
Review: I read Ashes to Ashes and thought it was pretty good, but after reading all of Tami Hoag's books to date, I think with Ashes, Guilty as Sin and A Thin Red Line, she seems to have written differently. I became a fan after reading Cry Wolf and quickly read book after book, enjoying her gritty characters and their relationships and the suspense and excitement within the story, but it almost feels as though a different author wrote Ashes to Ashes and the two previous books. I hope she gets back to writing a little more about the characters themselves and a little less about the grisly details of torture and murder.
