Summary: Not what I expected...
Review: After seeing how many books Mary Higgins Clark has written and how all of them were big bestsellers, I decided to give one a try, SO I got MOONLIGHT BECOMES YOU. I thought it would be much better, with more suspense and mystery. The first 225 pages were so boring I had to fight to get through them. It started getting good when Maggie was put in the coffin, and the identity of the killer was surprising, but I don't see how this could be a bestseller.

Summary: Maggie's triumph and heartbreak will keep you reading
Review: This intricate novel involving many people from the small town of Newport, Rhode Island was full of money and people who thought a lot of themselves. I thought that the book, Moonlight Becomes You, by Mary Higgins Clark was a very well written book, even though there was an over-whelming number of people involved. Maggie Holloway was a young woman who was from New York City, when she quickly found herself over her head. She was at a Moore-Payne clan party with her friend, Liam, when she was reunited with a childhood memory, Nuala. Maggie had only known Finnuala (Maggie called her Nuala for short) for a short while when she moved away. Maggie was six when Nuala became her stepmother and was ten the last time she saw her. She was astounded when she was reunited with her, as was Nuala. Maggie and Nuala talked for endless hours until Nuala invited her long lost stepdaughter, Maggie, up to visit her in Newport. Maggie was terrified with what she found when she arrived. The house was dark and dreary, so after ringing the bell many times Maggie looked in the window to view Nuala's limp body drawn across the floor, dead. Maggie knew someone did this, but who? She knew no one. She thought in just a few minutes the guests would be arriving for Nuala's dinner party where she would soon meet many of Nuala's closest friends. Maggie then found out that just a week before that Nuala changed her will, leaving everything to Maggie. Maggie became good friends with some of Nuala's friends; as she became closer with them, some of them died. She visited some of them at the cemetery and found bells placed in front of their graves. She wondered what these bells meant. In the mean time she stayed at Nuala's old house and became close friends with Neil Stephens. He cared very much for her and took good care of her. She kept looking for who killed Nuala, but Maggie was finding out too much for some people. Earlier one day Earl Bateman visited her and brought her to his Funeral Museum, and had gave her a key to the Museum, and told her that she could come back anytime she wanted. Later that night she went back to the museum, Neil was supposed to talk to her later and he called but no one answered. The next day she was missing. Earl also reported that there had been a robbery at his Museum and a few things were stolen. What happens to Maggie will not only surprise you but it will also link together a chain of corruption that was going on in the town. Maggie was an outgoing character who demonstrated heartbreak and victory. She was an emotional character who kept her composure and poise throughout the whole novel. At times you would feel badly for her because of what was happening to her, but at the same time you would wonder why she stayed in Newport. Even though Nuala was only in the story for a short while you felt like you knew her. It felt like she was one of those nice old ladies who tried to make everyone happy. What happened to her was a shame, but it would be solved at last. Moonlight Becomes You was a very well developed book that pulled together many events in the end. I found that the conclusion did an excellent job in capturing all small threads of the novel. The book was very suspenseful and made me want to keep reading until the last page. If you like mysteries then you should definitely read this!

Summary: Don't bother
Review: Every Christmas, my parents give me Mary Higgins Clark's latest book as one of my presents and it's usually my favorite present under the tree. Not this time. I don't know what happened, but this is the only Clark book that I just could not finish. It was, frankly, dull. Her books before -- and since -- have been sparkling and lovely as ever, so this one must have been a fluke. Try this one if you're interested in reading Clark: "Let me Call you Sweetheart."

Summary: A horrific tail that keeps you guessing.
Review: The mysterious and spellbinding book, Moonlight Becomes You, by Mary Higgins Clark is a chilling, edge-of-your-seat book that will keep you in suspense throughout the entire story. The author's use of figurative language makes the reader think that they are witnessing the crimes.

Summary: Not what I expected! well written but not the best of MCS.
Review: When I read this book it was very good...but that was in the beginning. When I finised it i felt like I was left hanging. First of all it is a total take off of Weep No More, My Lady. I thought after I finised it, no! He wasn't the killer. It bugged me because I like to be suprised when I find out who the killer is. With this book I guessed right away. This is a diffite take off of Weep No More, My Lady. If you have'nt read either books (Moonlight or Weep) I suggest Weep no more, my lady. That will surprise you more.

Summary: I was a little disappointed.
Review: I've read just about all of MHC's books and I was a little disappointed in this one. Although I didn't guess who the villan was until the end, halfway through the book I lost interest in what was going on. This is a first for me and a MHC book. I usually read her books in a matter of days, not begin able to put them down. I stretched this book out for about 3 weeks. I love MHC's books and I'll continue to read her work until I've completed all of them.

Summary: A great book and one of her best yet!
Review: Ok, I know that I may not be the most qualified reviewer, but even at 13 years old, I have read several of MHC's books. My favorite was Loves Music, Loves to Dance. Moonlight Becomes You was great, however, while I stayed up through the late hours of the night just to get through the last chapters. As with all of MHC's books, the person you least suspect to be the murderer, is. Another great book by Mary Higgins Clark.

Summary: A page turner but not a brain teaser
Review: This is a pretty pedestrian mystery with red herrings thrown around aimlessly in order to hide the fairly obvious ending. The saving grace is the well-crafted characters that Clark creates, they are more interesting than the plot.
