Summary: Skipped to the end
Review: I am a huge Mary Higgins Clark fan having read seven of her novels and still racking them up. She is often a suspenseful writer and leaves you breathless at the end of her novels. I give this book two stars because it was incredibly boring to me. The action never picked up and I just skipped to the end to see who the murderer was. I gave it a chance but it didn't go anywhere with me. I'm still a huge fan of her work, but this book was the worst one I've read of her collection.

Summary: A little different type of read
Review: I had not read a Mary Higgins Clark book in a few years. I once read every one that came out. But I started to feel in a rut and looked around for other authors. So this was a happy return for me.

I had been told this book was a bit different. And I really enjoyed that. I had no idea where the storyline was going. It was certainly not predictable. And it made me want to go back and read more Clark books.

Maggie is finally reunited with her long lost stepmother. But soon after her stepmother is killed and Maggie inherits her house. Maggie starts to learn that her stepmother was one of several odd deaths that had happened. Who was killing off these elderly people and why? At times this book is chilling. It is surprising and you never quite know where it is going. A very good read.

Summary: Great Read
Review: Moonlight becomes you is the first Mary Higgins Clark book I read. The book hooked me in the beggining and didnt let go. She gives many different suspects that it is hard to guess who the killer is and that is great because the ending is a real surpise. The book is not confusing or challenging to comprehend. If you are intrested in Marry Higgins Clark books, read Moonlight becomes you. I also suggest All around the Town,On the Streets Where You live, and Stillwatch.

Summary: Not Bad........
Review: This was the first Mary Higgins Clark book I read. It was a very easy read and kept me interested. However, it was very easy to discover who the killer was early on and I really hate gushy, mushy endings. I would recommend the book as fairly good suspense and a very easy, fast read. However, I don't think I would read another of her books, I have heard they are all basically the same and that would be very tiring.

Summary: Frustrating & Just Plain Awkward
Review: This book was my first introduction to Mary Higgins Clark, and I've got to say I was not impressed.

The plot was good, and I like the way she intermingled the characters, but overall it was TERRIBLE reading. The dialogs between characters were awkward to say the least. It was very frustrating to read their thoughts and conversations because there was no flow at all. For instance, in trying to give us background information on someone's past, she made them give explanations in their thoughts or converstations which was completely unnatural. Also, she rambled on at times about insignificant details which added nothing to the plot or characters. I honestly think she was trying to fill in space to have the right number of pages for her publisher.

I found it hard to finish reading the book, but did so I could see if it got better. It didn't, unfortunately. The only thing going for this book is the plot, which was very well thought out; however, the book was just not well written at all and I feel a waste of time. Guess I will have to stick to Stephen King & John Grishom for my mystery/suspense fixes.

Summary: Great beginning, great ending
Review: Okay, I know about the "Mary Higgins Clark formula" with all her female characters, but I really enjoyed this book. I thought the beginning was a very creative way to bring the reader into the story. A little slow at times with the character developement, but still highly recommend to mystery lovers.

Summary: Very Cool
Review: I really liked this book. It was very suspensful, and interesting. It kept me reading late into the night. It was all-in-all a really good book!

Summary: I'm sick of her pseudo-strong female characters
Review: I am a devotee of the mystery genre, but after reading about 5 of MHC's books, I've had it up to here with her formula. Early-30-something beautiful New-York-dwelling successful professional damsel of Irish (always) descent gets into trouble and is rescued by late-30-something handsome dashing New-York-dwelling successful professional white knight of Irish descent, but only after the damsel is almost taken in by the wiles of the bad guy, who is also always another late-30-something handsome (but secretly evil) successful professional of Irish descent. Damsel always indignantly refuses help of the knight until last pivotal moment when he saves her life. Much kissing, cooing, and promises of future protection from evil ensue. That's bad enough, but even worse, in this particular book, there was zero character development as far as why and how Maggie (the damsel) and her White Knight suddenly fell into such burning passionate love. Furthermore, Nuala is found dead, and Maggie's like, "oh bummer, but I'm sure not going to change my vacation over that" and then proceeds to worry most about cleaning out the closets. Hello! Isn't anyone concerned about the killer still being on the loose? What a frustrating read.

Summary: Her Lucky 13th Book and One of Her Best!
Review: From the first scene, readers will be hooked on this novel. A flashback of 20 days earlier reveals a mysterious reunion that has terrifying consequences. Throughout the book, we encounter engaging and enigmatic characters. Our quest for the truth leads us to a surprising and most satisfying ending. A must have for mystery lovers!

Summary: I keep coming back.
Review: Moonlight Becomes You is one of my favorite Mary Higgins Clark books. (The other is Remember Me.) I keep coming back to this book over and over, rereading it even when I know what will happen. The most compelling reason is that Ms. Clark really makes the reader care about Maggie. I can feel myself following her through the emotional journey she encounters as she searches for both truth and resolution. Also, I was kept guessing until the end about the identity of the killer. So many people seemed possible. Finally, I found myself morbidly fascinated with the details about Victorian funeral customs. It added another layer to this finely woven story.
