Summary: a page turner
Review: This was my first book by Phillip Margolin and I enjoyed it alot.Very fast moving and somewhat gruesome but good.I was able to figure out who the killer was about halfway through the book but that didn't take away from the suspense.I'll read more of his books-in fact the first chapter of The Associate was at the end of this book and the first chapter was enough for me to want to read it.He will be on my authors -to -watch -out- for-list.

Summary: A Breath Holder, Gruesome, Very Gruesome
Review: I really like Philip Margolin's books and this one was nerve racking until almost the very end. Many reviews have been writtn so all I wanted to say that I found the ending of the story very very horrific. Even a killer deserves to be treated better.

Summary: Finders keepers, losers weepers
Review: This week, my father's Brit friend recommended this Phillip Margolin work to him. But, he let me borrow the book first before he reads it. (He doesn't want to waste time reading a bad story) It's my frist time to read a Phillip Margolin paperback and good news is, I got hooked to it. There was no plot indicated at the back of the book so it got me more curious. What on earth was "Wild Justice" in the story?In somewhat like a prologue, the notorious Martin Breach didn't get the complete deal he had with Dr. Grant and his unidentified partner. So, Breach assumed the supercilious Dr. Vincent Cardoni, who worked at the St. Francis Hospital at Portland to be the partner of Dr. Grant. Millions of bucks were at stake and Breach and his infamous group would do everything to go after him. Meanwhile, Detective Bobby Vasquez was also looking for Dr. Cardoni because of some cocaine case. But surprise! The detective forgot the drug case and instead, found out some macabere corpses in the assumed horror house of Dr. Cardoni (you better read that one out!). Lawyers Frank Jaffe and his brilliant daughter, Amanda became the lawyers of Dr. Cardoni. But Amanda didn't trust her father's client. Bobby Vasquez and the prosecuters would do everything to put Dr. Cardoni's life in jail. The young, amateur lawyer Amanda Jaffe was terrified by the mere sight of their client but, she would do all the paperwork to set him free .., only to find out that Dr. Cardoni on loose would be more terrifying. I don't want to give more of the juicy (or rather chlling) details from the book anymore. It's all about guessing game- guess what happened next, guess how'd he do it, guess who's the real culprit, etc. The ending was fabulous, wherein the title "Wild Justice" took place. However, I'm only giving this book 4 stars because I think that the serial killer got too far from reality. But hey, this is still one heck of a book!

Summary: One of Margolin's best I have read so far
Review: I have read all Margolin's books except for his newest, "The Associate" and this one, "Wild Justice", is the best I have read so far. This book keeps you second-guessing on who the actual suspect was. I already had figured it out who during the middle of the book, but I wasn't definitely 100% sure till later because you never know the author might fool you. That's what makes the book more interesting to read. I enjoyed it from the beginning to end.

Summary: WILD JUSTICE ONLY FAIR!!!!!
Review: I have read several Margolin books and I think I have rated about all of them a three. I don't know why I keep on trying when I read others that I rate higher. I nearly lost this one during the first twenty or so pages, I kept getting so many people thrown at me I was confused as to who was who. I think most can figure out who the real killer is way before the book is over, I know it is easy to figure out who it is not. Amanda Jaffe may be a good lawyer but she needs some help in the common sense department. I felt sorry for Bobby Vasquez, he really wanted to catch the true killer and tried his best. Our laws today, in many cases, help the killer more than the police who are trying to do their job. The making of a new hand was a joke, can't buy that one. I ask my question again, why do I buy these???

Summary: Fun, fun, fun
Review: As long as you're not really looking for a book as good as Hannibal (as the jacket suggests) you'll like this one. It's a good ride even if it is a little predictable. I like Margolin's books. They are always good for a rainy weekend. I read this one in 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had to skip a little of the torture descriptions but I really enjoyed the medical stuff. It was fun.

Summary: Totally Well Written
Review: This is my third book by Phillip Margolin. He is quickly leapfrogging many of my favorite authors. I have to say this may be THE scariest book I have ever read. From the first few pages that really grab you by the throat to the AMAZING conclusion, this is the best mystery I have ever read. It is well-written and thoroughly researched. In fact, every time I read a Margolin book, I learn something new. BE WARNED- there is some gruesomeness. It is necessary, however, to show you there is a sick individual amongst us. The scariest part is we know there is a total, complete monster serial killer among us, but we have no idea who it is. This person looks and acts just like everyone around us, which to me is the scariest part. Question: How well do we know anyone except for ourselves? If you enjoyed this book, read GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN(MARGOLIN) or MIDDLE OF NOWHERE(RIDLEY PEARSON).

Summary: And propably closer to a star and a half
Review: This is not the worst book I've read this year, but it isn't very good. "Wild Justice" is the story of a serial-mutilator-killer and the people tracking him. It was apparently intended to keep readers in suspense until the end, but I spotted the killer in the first 50 pages. It was obvious because the author, Phillip Margolin, tried so hard to point at us at everyone else. Besides, the killer kept showing up in the right place at the right time. The book was very trying to read. First of all, the language of both the narrative and the dialogue was a little off. No one really speaks like that. Second, supposedly intelligent people kept doing really stupid things to keep the plot moving, always a bad sign in any story. Lastly, Margolin kept "shoe horning" his plot. By that I mean he kept writing himself into a corner and then resolving his dilemma by forcing improbable solutions on the reader. It was almost as though he wrote the book without any idea of where he was going. So, he just "winged it". Apparently, this was a New York Times Bestseller. What a scary thought. On the other hand, "Wild Justice" does hold out hope to any expiring authors out there. If this can get published and become a best seller, than there's hope for anyone.

Summary: Want a book that you can't put down?
Review: I'm still not sure about the author's other books, but this one is wild indeed! Once you start, its hard to get out of the fast-paced action. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a real thriller (even though I agree with some other reviewers that the "bad guy" is very easy to spot - that doesnt make it any less spell binding).
