Summary: Terrific!!!!!!
Review: A terrific read for those who like suspense. The characters were wonderful and the story was exciting and suspenseful from beginning to end. I'm always a little sad when I come to the end of a great book because I'm hoping the next one I pick up will be as good. I've read all of Phillip Margolin's novels, and I haven't been disappointed yet. I do hope he's working on another one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Book!!!! Everything expected plus more!!!!!
Review: This book was excellent! It was a very suspenseful page turner. I couldn't put it down! I'd say this is one of his best. I think that you'll be very pleased with it. It's worth every minute of your precious time to dive right in. It's a fast read, so expect to be drawn in from the very beginning. Looking forward to more from Margolin.....

Summary: WILD JUSTICE - A wild ride of crime and punishment
Review: Portland surgeon Vincent Cardoni, trapped inside of a pending divorce, a violent temperament and a nose-candy addiction, is arrested for a series of heinous crimes. Rather than face the music, he becomes his own surgical patient and disappears. The police give him up for dead.

Cardoni's attorney, rookie Amanda Jaffe, moves onto defending other criminal types, until four years later, when she is asked to defend another surgeon for a new series of ritualistic crimes. A copy cat? Cardoni’s work? A coincidence?

Its hard to keep track of all the good guys, bad guys, and dead people in this new novel by Phillip Margolin. It seems like most of them have 'motive, means and opportunity' to sport these crimes. In the end, clarity produces a chilling conclusion.

This is, by far, Mr. Margolin's most dark, graphic and gory novel. And it is also one of his more intense works, with a frenetic pace and a palette of bi-polar psychopaths with scary tendencies. WILD JUSTICE, in part, is a wild ride through the sadistic side of criminal human nature.

Summary: Read this thriller by Phillip Margolin!
Review: Run as fast as you can and pick up a copy of this book. That's right. I said run, so don't be walking. Of the several other books which Phillip Margolin has written, and I have read all of them, this is his very best. The action is so fast paced that the pages turn themselves and before you want it to end, you will be closing the book.

In Wild Justice, I found the characters to be so finely drawn and described, it is as if we know them well. And be prepared for a plot which twists and turns and scenes which will send shivers up and down your body as an out of control doctor is arrested and tried for a series of gruesome murders, only to be let go due a technicality. Then years later when it appears as though Dr. Vincent Cardoni is long dead, the police find evidence of bodies murdered in the same manner but this time the doctor's ex-wife Justine Castle is found guilty.

Added to this roller coaster ride of a book, is a young laywer employed by her father's legal firm who not only represents the good doctor but also his wife. And while I won't say anything more I would love to see Mr. Margolin write another book with some of these same characters.

Wild Justice is a wonderful thriller which can easily take its place among the novels written by both James Patterson and Jonathan Kellerman among other noted writers of this genre. I only hope it doesn't take Mr. Margolin too long to write his next book because until then, I'll be waiting.

Summary: Do you have insurance?
Review: The staff at this hospital may fall into one or more of the following categories: 1. serial killer 2. drug addict 3. martial arts expert 4. defendant unconvicted of murder 5. harvester and seller of human organs 6. killer of spouse 7. master of disguise 8. sadist. A page turner that is not unlike a shallow pool. You'll keep reading long after you know who done it.

Summary: Everything I expected
Review: I loved Philip's book "Gone but not Forgotten so I knew he could write a thriller. When I read on cover about being as good as Silence of the Lambs, I thought sure, right. It was every bit as good as any thriller I've ever read. Couldn't put it down and never wanted it to end. This is by far his best yet!

Summary: Wild, But Not Too Wild
Review: Four years after a surgeon escapes punishment for a series of grisly murders, his estranged wife is arrested for a copycat crime. A standard formula thriller ensues, as Margolin pulls out all the stops, creating an entertaining tale that I couldn't help but think could have been better with a little tweaking.

Summary: A Rather Pedestrian Thriller
Review: Several years ago, Phillip Margolin wrote what I consider to be one of the cleverest and most exciting thriller/mysteries I have ever read. Ever since then, Mr Margolin has attempted to match that early success; in his latest, the jacket even states that Wild Justice is a "return to the haunting terrain of Gone But Not Forgotten." Unfortunately, though Wild Justice is a decent thriller, it is no Gone But Not Forgotten. It is not as well-written, the characters are shallow caricatures, and, perhaps worst of all, the killer becomes pretty obvious about half way through. Mr. Margolin is so intent on throwing red herrings at us that he makes figuring out the real villain quite easy. Having said all that, the book is a quick read and does contain some exciting moments, but simply not enough of them. I had high hopes for Wild Justice and will continue to read Mr. Margolin's future books in hopes that he can recapture what he once had. But I suggest that those in search of a good mystery put this book down and go find a copy of Gone But Not Forgotten.

Summary: Be Prepared To Clear Your Schedule Once You Start This Book!
Review: Margolin's latest, Wild Justice, is VERY fast-paced, exciting and suspenseful. Without giving away the plot, I know you'll feel that once you start reading this book it will seem that the pages are just flying past your eyes. If you like thrillers, you won't find many recent books in this genre that will stack up to Wild Justice. The only reason that I didn't give Wild Justice a "5 star" rating is that despite Margolin's many and interesting efforts to keep you guessing as to who the murderer is, I was able to determine the killer too early on in the story. Even if this turns out to be your experience as well, I think you'll still feel that Wild Justice is a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and is one that you'll want to recommend to others. Enjoy!

Summary: CAN I GIVE THIS NOVEL 6 OUT OF 5 STARS, PLEASE?
Review: Move over John Grisham, have a seat J.F. Freedman, take a hike Steve Martini, and clear the way for the best legal novelist of all time, PHILLIP MARGOLIN!!! Over the course of the past week, I have read all of the Phillip Margolin novels. I just finished Wild Justice today and was sooo impressed. Margolin just cannot write a poor novel. It is an impossibility. Are you ready for the plot? Well, here it is! Over the past five years there has been a series of gruesome and hideous murderers streching across Montanta to Oregon. It hits close to home in Portland, Oregon for defense Attorney Amanda Jaffe. The suspected murderer is respected surgeonist Vincent Cardoni. He is on trial for the murders of over six victims and for the beheading of two others including his so-called partner. Many people believed that he did it because of his excessive drug usage and his violent outbursts to his fellow colleagues. Amanda Jaffe believes he is a dangerous man who should be convicted. Then 4 years later, the same kind of murders start happening again and after the mysterious disappearance of Vincent Cardoni, his ex-wife is put on trial. Amanda Jaffe knows that the wife couldn't have done it and is considering the possibility that maybe she was wrong the whole time about Vincent Cardoni being the murderer. Amanda, her father, and the Portland PD is on the case of solving the identity of this truly deranged and frightening serial killer before time runs out and before Amanda and the city of Portland lives are put into the hands of a madman.
