Review: The Ugly Duckling is great book. Just when you think you know what's going on, a new twist is thrown in. The surprises make you want to keep reading. This book is definetly one of the best books I've ever read. I'm sure to read another book by Iris Johansen.

Review: The story of how a marginly homely woman faces adversity and the loss of the life as she knows is a relatively well known genre. This aythor has done the impossible. He has created a story that is sad ,but at the same time entertaining. As we watch the shy woman the character once was turn into a leathal beautiful siren, we are drawn into her world. When at last she acomplishes her mission we also feel that we have in some way been avenged of past wrongs. This book is the best I hope we get another like it soon.

But now I'm glad I listened because I couldn't put it down! It's a great combination of suspense, mystery, and romance and it will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end.

Review: I haven't heard of this author before reading this book. But one day, in the book store, I saw "The Ugly Duckling", the cover is very attracting, so I read a bit about the book, and I was hooked. I bought it and I couldn't put it down, I spent all my time that night to finish it. This book is amazing, the way Ms. Johansen describe the characters, so powerful, so real, the appearance of the characters, the details about the environment, the feelings of the characters. When you are reading the book, you can actually see the image running over your head. The way she developed the suspense, it really makes you hooked and just keep reading. This book has suspense, romance, everything. And I just keep recommending this book to all of my friends. Trust me, read this book, and you won't be disappointed.

Review: I was rather skeptical when I was recommended this book by my friend because I'm not a die-hard fan of mysteries. After reading 'The Ugly Duckling',I vowed to get my hands on as many Iris Joahansen's books as I can! It's definitely a page-turner. It maybe unrealistic in the sense that Nell Calder actually 'turns' beautiful after a fall from a balcony, but hey, we are entitled to some fairy-tale plots to get away from the usual hectic life, aren't we? What are novels for? Definitely not to remind us of 'ugly' times! So what are you waiting for?!! If you are not a fan, go get yourself an Iris Johansen novel, and most likely , just like me, you'll get hooked! Happy reading!

Summary: Either you love it or you hate it - I loved that book!
Review: When I started to read the first chapter, I nearly stopped because of too many new names which I mixed up. Like that I nearly missed one of the most breath taking criminal stories I have read. Not only the plot was never boring, playing at different locations in the US and Europe, but also the love story was wonderful and deeply moving. I do not know whether men like to read that book, but I don't care, because I enjoyed it as did all my friends who read it.

Review: I guess if it takes only a fall from a balcony to become beautiful I'm going to get in line. Come on, this was one of the stupidest storylines I've ever read. I really enjoyed Long After Midnight, but was definetly disappointed with this book.
