Rating: Summary: Outstanding!! Review: If you like Patricia Cornwell, you will love Iris Johansen. I couldn't put the book down. Story line is great and moves at a good pace. Highly Recommend reading her other books!
Rating: Summary: The search Review: When I finished the book before this "The Killing Game", I was left with alot of questions about the main characters Eve, Joe, Logan, Sarah and Jane. "The Search" not only answered all of my unanswered questions, but also lead me into a book I couldn't put down.Just when you thought you knew almost all there was to know about John Logan, he puts us right back in his loop of danger. To save a man that was kidnapped from a reaserch facility that had been burnt to the ground, Logan brings in Sarah and her search and rescue dog, Monty. And from there the danger only starts. This was a very fast paced and fast read, and well worth my time. You could just read this book and not bother reading the others before, because this book could stand alone, but you would be missing out on so much. But I recommend reading from the begining starting with "The face of deception", " The killing game" and then " The Search". They are all great and must reads.
Rating: Summary: I can't get enough of Sara and Monty Review: This was my first Iris Johansen Book. I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. .When I finished I went out and bought several more of Iris's books. I't recommended The Search to several people, particularly the ones who I know are dog people. I am interested in the forensic sculpting and I hope this ensemble appears in future books so I can read about them.
Rating: Summary: Fanatastic Suspense Novel Review: This is a gripping suspense novel. Iris Johansen has combined search and rescue with international terrorism to create a novel that keeps you at the edge of your seat the whole time. I did not put this book down until I finished it.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I have read three of Iris Johanansen's books which I thought were pretty good. The Search, however was very disappointing to me. It seemed to drag on so slowly especially in the beginning. Although there were several interesting plot twists, I still felt the overall book failed to keep my interest.
Rating: Summary: Very Entertaining Review: I have long been a fan of Iris Johansen, and looked forward to her new books time after time. This book on the characters of Sarah Patrick and Logan was so very good. Perhaps it's because I'm a dog person and I very much appreciated the relationship between Sarah and Monty. I enjoyed this book far more than the previous ones with the character of Eve Duncan. Although it was resolved well - I finally realized that one thing that made me uncomfortable was that I couldn't connect the characters of Eve and Logan. Finally I knew why - Eve's mate was Quinn, not Logan. And Logan's mate was yet to be discovered. The plot is fast paced, as are all IJ's books. She does an excellent job with the characters and the situation - however, it's resolved so quickly! Oh how I longed for just a few more pages!
Rating: Summary: The Search Review: Unusual for Iris Johansen, this book gets off to a slow start. The characters are tense and lovable at the same time, however I found this book to be slower paced in the beginning and therefore harder to get into the story. Once you get into the middle of the book, it becomes more interesting and faster paced. I did like the story, but it was not quite as good as her previous books.
Rating: Summary: The Search Review: It's a great story. The type you hate when it ends because you want it to continue. I can't wait to see the next one. Thank you Iris!
Rating: Summary: Loved this book Review: I'm hooked, I just finished this book and The Killing Game and I can't wait to read more of Iris Johansen's books. I couldn't put it down, great characters and charisma. I loved it.
Rating: Summary: Am I missing something? Review: I can't believe that many of the reviews for this book use the words "well written". I enjoy mystery, suspense, and intertwined romance like everyone else but this was lame, lame, lame. The characters were beyond superficial. If you hadn't read the previous books by this author which featured some of these characters, you were totally clueless about Eve, her adopted daughter Jane, what happened to Bonnie, etc. So you felt like you were truly in the dark. And the dog/wolf romance - come on! The romance didn't sizzle, and the story line was preposterous. I don't think the attention this author is getting from the public is warranted.
